“A maddening aura, one of the Sueño Imposible. A towering figure rides their steed and tramples across the battlefield to soak their lance in blood.”
“The Brave Heart Dreams in Eternal Rest”
When Conditions are met, Mind Penalties (Initiative, Movement, Perception + Alertness) do not apply. Mind temporarily cannot be drained but can be recovered. User cannot be incapacitated through mind. Effects last until end of battle or if Conditionals are no longer met. Mount benefits from the following effects only:
(Perfect Reflexes, Centered, Track Star)
(Mount gains increased dexterity rating from this gift if applicable)
You gain the following benefits as long as the user is mounted upon horseback or anything resembling a horse, and is in a frantic and/or delirious state, they are equipped with some form of armor, and they have a weapon on their person.
Your Dexterity rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Dexterity (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
You also gain the following effects:
Slyvie throws a small orb of webbing at her target. With a flick of her wrists, thousands upon thousands of sharp spider webs explode from the webbing to her target and the surrounding area of her target, puncturing them with thin, wire-like webbing that is super sharp, and because of that, super brittle and somewhat easy to break out of it, getting cut.
Spend an Action. Select a Location within arm's reach. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you Silk explodes everywhere from you and where you had wanted to drop it, doing absolutely nothing. Roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6. All targets within 20 feet of the chosen Location may contest by Defending or Dodging.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They cannot move to a new location, and, if your Contested Outcome was greater than their Brawn, they are encased and cannot take any physical Actions other than attempting to escape until they break free.
Restricted targets may escape their binding by spending an Action and taking a Severity-1 Injury. Their movement is reduced by 10 feet until the Injury heals.
If your target does not escape within 3 Rounds, they cannot ever free themselves and must be rescued.
While this Effect is active, you are at -2 dice to all Actions and cannot Concentrate.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
Litia wraps her arms in pure temporal energy and tries to steal the target's time, ripping them out of the timestream with pure physical prowess. The time in the area around the target slows down for a moment, while it accelerates around Litia.
If she's successful, the target will slow down even more over the course of the next 8-10 seconds until finally being frozen in time for a short while. They are still conscious, but unable to interact with the world around them.
They will look like a statue to the cursory observer, a memory of a person made manifest.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living or Animate target within 30 feet. Roll Brawn + Athletics at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target becomes drowsy for the next 3 Rounds, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. At the end of their drowsiness, they fall into a state of sleep paralysis for Contested Outcome x 3 rounds. During this time, they remain fully conscious and aware of their surroundings but are incapable of taking any actions.
Sleeping targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, but may still be woken up by sudden loud noises, being jarred or splashed with water, taking Damage, or similar rousing events. They will also awaken before dying of hunger, thirst, or suffocation. Drowsy targets always fall asleep, regardless of what happens while they are drowsy.
A masterpiece is a labor of love an artist must put their life into. As Bryan folds and unfolds his body alongside the focused paper, blood begins to seep through each sheet, turning them a dark red and creating a pool of ichor beneath him as it drips. Once he has bonded his vision into the paper, typically shaping it into the form of the object he's animating, he presses it into the target and allows it to unfold. What remains on the object is a patterned sheet of paper, with each crease being a fold that represents its construction.
This paper moves around the object when it takes action, unfolding and refolding to match its movements-- creating circles around a vehicle's wheels, shooting out through a gun's barrel, etc.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and an Action. Select a Inanimate target within arm's reach which could fit inside an SUV (4,000 liters). This Effect cannot be used unless you are in your Amorphous Transformation. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you take a Severity-4 Injury as blood gushes from your sacrifice. You must use up folding paper in order to activate this Effect. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
Your target will become Animated indefinitely. You may choose to end the effect at will, as a Free Action. You can maintain a max of 20 animated objects at once.
Animated Objects have the following restrictions and capabilities:
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see extreme amounts of blood pour and coagulate from Bryan's body before seeping into the object.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Stress from Injuries and Mind Damage is reduced to 0.
Daisy’s kinship with lagomorphs grants her a rabbit’s tail and reflexes but twists her mind to be more rabbbit-like as well.
Whenever she utilizes her rabbity reflexes, her tail twitches and fluffs up.
You gain the following benefits as long as you have your rabbit tail.
Your Dexterity rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Dexterity (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Phobia of beings that look like they’d prey on rabbit people (eg with maws and claws, like dinosaurs, giant wolves, etc).
If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.
You also gain the following effects:
The time-twister spins a dial on one of her watches, slowing time for everyone but her and one other person.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch or clock to activate this Effect.
Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
While using this Effect, you may carry one other being without affecting your Encumbrance, so long as you maintain contact with them for the duration and they consent or are grappled.
The aquamancer has internal reserves of water that they may call upon when needed, and it will gush out of the pores in their skin wherever it is directed.
Spend a Quick Action.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store units of water in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
The mutant has grown a long, fuzzy tail resembling one found on a monkey or lemur. Odd as it may be, it certainly comes in handy, and it's got one hell of a grip. If removed, the tail regrows within a week.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You gain an additional limb that functions as a standard human arm and hand.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).
Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
You may dedicate your extra Quick Action to contest any attempt to escape your Grapples. If you do so, you roll your full dice pool to contest and retain your Action to do anything that does not target the subject of your Grapple.
Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.
The musician pours their heart and soul into their music, giving others some much needed perspective and solace and all around good vibes. This can be a temporary easing of the mind, but with prolonged music therapy it can even permanently cure psychic damage.
Exert your Mind to activate. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You cannot target yourself. This Effect cannot be used unless you continuously play music for your target during the activation. Over the course of one Downtime, your patient must communicate with you and reveal at least one of their Traumas to you, including the details of those Traumas and the circumstances of how they were acquired. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6.
Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.
Once per day per target, you may choose to use this Effect to stabilize the Mind of a target within arm's reach. Treatment takes 30 seconds but will not remove any Traumas. If you are successful, restore 2 Mind damage.
You may choose to use this Effect to temporarily relieve any number of the patient's Traumas (including mental Conditions). In this case, Treatment takes an Action and the effect lasts two hours. If the Patient is currently experiencing an episode, Difficulty is increased by 2.
The Ninja's incredible dedication to their discipline grants them supernatural dexterity and agility.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Dexterity rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Dexterity (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
