Do what you can to settle the circumstances.
When Conditions are met, Mind cannot be reduced to zero but can be recovered during this state. User cannot be incapacitated through mind. Effects last until end of battle as long as the conditionals were met once.
You gain the following benefits as long as user has inflicted some sort of debuff/affliction/effect onto the enemy, user is in a alarmed, frantic or delirious state, the threat is an Animate, and there is a dangerous threat present and you have your allies.
Your Dexterity rating is increased by 3. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Dexterity (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Stiff Neck.
If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.
You also gain the following effects:
Lizzie's eyes flash green. She starts waving a staff of a tree, and new growth starts to form and grow from the existing trees and nature around her.
It forms slowly, but stays permanently.
If she doesn't have a staff already, she will need to spend at least 30 minutes crafting one from a tree branch to make a new one.
Exert your Mind (unless you are Sculpting) and spend one minute. Select a Location within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use A staff formed from the branch of a tree to activate this Effect. You must be in an area abundant with trees and foliage.
Select one of the following alterations to create out of Trees and foliage originating at the target:
The alteration begins to form when you activate this Effect and finishes forming on your initiative in the next Round. Until it finishes forming, it is not guaranteed to function.
This alteration lasts indefinitely but may be prematurely destroyed or altered. Your alterations may be broken through with appropriate tools. Anyone attempting to break through must roll Brawn + a relevant Ability. A cumulative Outcome of 6 across all attempts breaks a hole large enough to move through. See the extended system text for GM guidance on various tools.
You may sculpt your walls, domes, or tunnels as you create them, without any additional activation time or cost.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action.
You transform into The Beastman for 30 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are The Beastman, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Attributes are the same. Your Stress is reduced by 2.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
If you become Incapacitated or suffer an Injury Severity 4 or greater, you revert from your Alternate form.
Momma Ettu calls out for Edna, a stern, mildly frustrated voice and an ethereal, transparent image of an older woman, about Ettu's age with long white hair but with sunken eyes and very clearly dead, appears in a ghostly wheelchair a few feet away. The exact wording varies, but tends to be Ettu demanding her chair, Edna refusing, then Ettu attempting to throw Edna out of her chair. If she succeeds then Ettu gets in the chair, and Edna plummets down through the ground and disappears.
Edna will take her chair back when the effect ends, with a banter like they're old friends or perhaps siblings.
Edna is a lovely woman that Ettu met during her hospital stay after her heart attack.
She ended up having to stay quite a while for rehab, and got to know a patient on her floor who turned out to be terminal.
Children at heart, they tended to prank each other with harmless tricks and gentle bullying.
Having kept her financial abundance secret, Ettu anonymously ensured her funeral was lavish, and covered the airfare for her relatives to attend. She was able to actually attend as well without being recognized, since it seemed to be in a parallel dimension of some sort.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: Summons the ghost of someone she's met before, complete with their ghostly wheelchair. She pulls them out of the chair, and they fall through the floor, disappearing from sight and Momma Ettu takes the now vacant ghost wheelchair.. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour.
Lasts 1 hour. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is tripled.
If your last Action was used for an all-out sprint or you are already accelerated, you may spend an Action to accelerate without a roll, adding 100 feet/Round (not affected by your speed bonus) to your sprint speed, to a max of an extra 300 feet/Round. As long as you stay at these speeds, you may use this distance per Round as your Free Movement.
Any terrain you traverse while accelerated must be passable by a standard vehicle at similar speeds. Stopping, turning sharply, or decelerating more than 100 feet/Round must be performed as an Action. Failing to decelerate with an Action (whether because of an obstacle, sudden unfavorable terrain, an Injury, or other event) counts as a tumble or catastrophic vehicle collision as per the vehicle rules.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
it creates a dozen of blades still glowing hot red from thier creation around the radius that hit and filling the radius after which they shatter apart as thier are just mere limitation of weapons they are based on
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location no further than 40 feet from you and in your line of sight. The area within 25 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Roll Brawn + Crafts (4 dice) at Difficulty 6. Targets inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GM’s discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total Damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).
If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 25 feet of the chosen Location with Damage equal to your Outcome + 2.
Any flammable Objects within the radius during the blast will catch fire, and any being who takes at least 4 Damage will catch fire. Starting the Round after they caught fire, flaming targets take 2 Damage per Round until the fire is extinguished.
In Salem’s streets, Benjamin holds his worn Bible, its pages glowing with golden light as he recites prayers. Healing energy radiates outward, mending the sick and wounded, offering solace and hope to the troubled townspeople.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use a Bible to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Charisma + Influence (6 dice) at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
The psychic can reach into another's' mind and pilfer their deepest memories. Doing so causes the psychic's nose to bleed and is exceptionally draining.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living, Animate target within 25 feet. You must maintain Concentration while the effect is active. Roll Intellect + Investigation (4 dice) at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you are able to view your target's memories. If you fail, the target knows you're attempting to read their memories.
You may ask a number of specific questions about their memory equal to your Contested Outcome. For example, “what is their computer password,” “What were they doing at 4:00PM yesterday,” etc. You cannot get answers to broad, analytical questions like “are they a good person?” or “what are their plans for the future?”
Each memory takes as long to read as it takes to answer the question. When replaying a full memory, it is replayed in double time.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is your nose bleeding. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
No terrestrial animal dares defy the will of the beastmaster. The beastmaster exerts their dominance over an animal by locking eyes and giving a primal cry. The creature immediately becomes docile and eager to please.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien Creature within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a terrestrial animal.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.
Your commands can be complex and multi-layered, though they must still be specific. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
The mystic channels and communes directly with another person's spirit, allowing the two of them to freely exchange both physical and mental wounds between each other.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Sapient target within arm's reach. Your target may Resist to cancel the transfer.
You may choose a single instance of one of the following to transfer from your target to yourself, or from yourself to them:
Whenever you transfer an Injury, it's Severity increases by 1. Whenever you transfer Mind damage or Traumas, the recipient takes an additional Mind damage.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
Years of scouting in dangerous areas has left the survivalist hyper-vigilant. They are impossible to catch in a trap.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Perception rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Perception (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
You also gain the following effects:
The aristocrat knows a ritual that allows them to rent the best version of any item. They set $10,000 worth of cash on fire and place the item to be upgraded in the fire as well. While in the flame, the item morphs into a high-end version of itself. After a while, it reverts.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. You must use up $10,000 cash (or equivalent) in order to activate this Effect. Cannot be used to improve Armor.
Lasts the next two hours. Your target receives 3 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +3 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice.
