Mana Matrix If I approach infinity, then you can be my limitations.
Rei's artificial mental processors have been imbued by the wellspring of mana within them, resulting in an inhuman intellect. They are able to access a mental database of information they have internalized, as well as instantly calculate and simulate future outcomes to adjust accordingly. Whenever they access these effects, their visual processors faintly glow as they draw in ambient mana for power and scan the environment for information.
You gain the following benefits as long as you have your heterochromatic magic and artificial visual processors (eyes).
Your Intellect rating is increased by 0. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.
You also gain the following effects:
- Never Forget: You have a perfect photographic memory, and can recall or recreate even complex and detailed things. If you forget something you had previously seen or noticed, you may ask the GM and they will remind you.
- Re-Think: You may wait until after all relevant rolls have been made to decide whether to Exert your Mind and get +1 to the Outcome. If Exerting would have caused you to ignore your Stress and roll more dice, you may roll that many additional dice as well.
- You may Exert your Mind any number of times per Round, including multiple times for each roll
- Insufferable Know-It-All: Any social rolls you make are at +1 difficulty, and if someone else can answer an informational question or solve a puzzle before you do, make a Trauma roll.
- When you exert multiple times, if you have the Enhancement Push Through It, the lingering Outcome bonus is limited to +1.
- If your heterochromatic magic and artificial visual processors (eyes) is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months.
- Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Alice, while in the lab, realized she was the weakest link to finding a cure.
This is the final manifestation of the foolish augmentation she did to herself in that lab.
Days later, after the fighting ended, was when the headaches started. Trapped in bed, sweating, a fever dream. But mostly the fear. The fear her mind was going.
When it passed, Alice could feel the clarity of her thoughts. Whatever the scientists had done to her had been mere building blocks for this. Her mind was glorious.
And she remembered that her mind should have gone. Her mistake, in retrospect, was obvious. It a moment it jumped out at her. The transcription error should have killed her, or worse. But instead, she was still alive. She couldn't see why. Perhaps it was related to the abnormality in her genome and the sun. Or maybe a nudge from a greater power. In any case, she was sure that if she tried to reproduce the effect on someone else she'd turn their mind into tapioca.
But for now... her thoughts were instant, her memory perfect. She'd taken to writing a program to flash documents on her monitor as fast as it could, and with just that moment, she could know it, and index it while she slept.

Once, there was a man named Victor Green. He was a lonely man, isolated and withdrawn, and he preferred it this way. His one passion in life was the study of the occult, spending countless hours on research, mastering several languages just to find out more, eventually even betting his very life in a bid for yet more knowledge and with it, power. Unfortunately, he died, his soul parted from his body and cast down to the depths of the afterlife, until eventually, he found a way back. Sleepless Intelligence
"Alright everyone, let's get going bright and early! Now where can I get some coffee..."
Most people simply lie when they say sleeping less makes them *more* awake.
Skunk doesn't need to.
Years of all-nighters have finally paid off, so much so that she can't seem to keep herself from pulling them... She tells herself that she's a night owl, but she's a little more than that. Even a simple power nap is all she needs to start the ideas machine again. With a nothing more than a cup of coffee in hand, she's readier than ever to start working.
Skunk's sleeplessness paradoxically increases her ability to recall any facts or information that she has come into contact with. No matter how long ago she read it, the information is locked in like a steel trap. In addition, when she focuses her mental energy to a task, she finds herself easily pushing beyond her limits, ignoring even the most harsh of injuries or stressors.
Unfortunately, this newfound ability has not done much for her social skills, as the know-it-all inside of her has come forward in force. Even so, her twitter hot takes seem to gather more and more of an audience, regardless of how insufferable she's become.
You gain the following benefits as long as you have your Bags Under Eyes - Sleep 6 hours or less every night!.
Your Intellect rating is increased by. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).

- If your Bags Under Eyes - Sleep 6 hours or less every night! is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).

Your Intellect rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Intellect (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
You also gain the following effects:
- Brilliant Deduction: You may spend five minutes pondering an enigma, puzzle, or mystery, and roll Intellect at Difficulty 8. Success will reveal a clue or other tidbit that you have otherwise missed. Limit once per enigma.
- Insufferable Know-It-All: Any social rolls you make are at +1 Difficulty, and if someone else can answer an informational question or solve a puzzle before you do, make a Trauma roll. The Difficulty of this Trauma roll cannot be reduced by any means.
- Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.
