- You receive Testimony telling you who has used this object recently.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Who Cares?
By focusing on an object for a minute, you're able to ascertain who exactly care about the object and whether or not someone holds an influence on it. Warning: this increased awareness comes at a terrible cost; the hyper-awareness of everyone's investment leads to anti-social tendencies.

You learn all the following information about your target:
- You determine which outside supernatural influences are being exercised on the target.
- You may learn how much sentimental value an object has and to whom.

The observer
When drawn from the pocket its a small squared device, pressing a button on top makes it unfold and reveal a screen and the ray casting part on the other side making it like a triagle. When used to scan an object a ray is casted from top to bottom covering the surface of the scanned object, after some time the data is processed and shown on the screen with a three dimmensional representation of the object
The casted ray will bounce on the surface revealing fingerprints or any trail left from the previous user, this is digitalized, processed and analyzed to determine who its previous user was based on a databased maintained with the people linked to current contract

Post-Mortem Forensics

Penny always loved murder mystery, and the irony of that fact is not lost on her. Now that she has become the ultimate murder mystery, she realizes that the powers gained from these jobs can use them to fulfill her detective fantasies, buy looking over the patient with the eyes of a doctor and mortician, but with her own superior reasoning skills.

- You receive trace particles and regional forensic traces, allowing you to discern where this object has recently been.

Gravition Tracing
"Only the most skilled of Fleet Officers are able to master the art of graviton tracing."
Henry places his hand over an object, and his hand begins to twitch. His eyes are half closed, and he sees not the world, but a set of gravitation waves.
For reasons unknown, an AI is unable to do this. It is left on the operator to steer the analysis suite though the planes of gravitons, to seek out the past. With it, the operator can determine where it's been (although his suit's assist automatically compiles that into coordinates) and an image of the last individuals to use it.

- You receive a visual description telling you who has used this object recently.

The SpecterScan Umbrella appears to be a premium, minimalist umbrella, featuring a matte black canopy and a handle crafted from a high-density, lightweight composite material. The simplicity of its design belies the complexity of the technology hidden within. Unlike the previous iterations, this version eschews the overtly futuristic holographic displays for a more discreet, efficient mode of operation that aligns with the black tech aesthetic.
Embedded within the umbrella’s spokes are micro-cameras and a variety of sensors. These are nearly invisible, blending seamlessly with the structure. They’re capable of capturing a wide array of data, from visual feeds to electromagnetic signatures, without drawing attention.
The core of the SpecterScan’s capabilities lies in its advanced AI, housed within the umbrella’s shaft. This AI is capable of processing vast amounts of data from the umbrella’s sensors and external databases in real time. It uses sophisticated algorithms to analyze objects of interest, determine their history, and infer connections to criminal activities.
Instead of projecting information around the user, the SpecterScan Umbrella transmits its findings directly to a secure device—such as a smartphone or a specialized receiver—carried by the user. This ensures that all data remains confidential and that the user can access it without exposing their activities to bystanders.

The Thief examines an object closely for a minute to appraise its value. As their eyes dance across the subject, their pupils split vertically, and their irises fade to gold. If it is a particularly valuable item, the Thief may greedily lick their lips, revealing a forked tongue.
Within a minute, they have determined how materially valuable the object is and why.
