Dr. Laz stretches out his hand at a target and a cloud of what seem to be dust motes fly out toward them. Those with microscopic vision can see these nanobots for what they are. When they make contact, they enter through any available opening and begin administering sedatives and blocking nerve signals based on Laz's medical understanding of the target, causing the target to feel drowsy and sluggish eventually falling to a paralyzed state. Alternatively, Laz can order a massive neural assault, which will incapacitate immediately if successful.
Laz's greater understanding and control afforded by his research and his MMI has allowed him to refine delivery to individual guided motes, rather than a crude dart. This allows him to focus everything on shutting down his foes before they can do harm to those around him, as well as freeing him from the mental strain of maintaining the lock. The cost of this lesser concentration is that without the overdosing attempt, targets are effectively dosed with melatonin rather than sedative.
Spend an Action. Select a Living target within 30 feet. Roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target becomes drowsy for the next 30 minutes, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. At the end of their drowsiness, they fall into a state of sleep paralysis for Outcome x 3 minutes. During this time, they remain fully conscious and aware of their surroundings but are incapable of taking any actions.
Sleeping targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, but may still be woken up by sudden loud noises, being jarred or splashed with water, taking Damage, or similar rousing events. They will also awaken before dying of hunger, thirst, or suffocation. Drowsy targets always fall asleep, regardless of what happens while they are drowsy.
When activating this Effect you may attempt a knockout. If you do and your Contested Outcome exceeds 4, the target falls asleep immediately. Otherwise, they suffer the drowsy penalty for 2 Rounds.
When an affected target wakes up, they remain drowsy for the next minute, and suffer a -3 dice penalty. If an affected target successfully resists being put to sleep, they will still become drowsy for the next minute, and will suffer the same penalty.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Using that ever so sparky spirit deep within, Joseph can use the power of pyrokinesis to light up anything in his way!
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire).
You may start a new fire as large as a firepit's fire at your target. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 4 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Sensitive Tingly Palms.
Kerri points a laser pointer towards a target, and a cat-sized-and-shaped fire springs into life, very clearly attracted to the laser. This flame cat can also be shaped from existing fires. While the pointer is active it remains in the shape of a cat, pouncing towards the little red dot. When the laser pointer is not active, the flames return to normal.
Kerri, in her research on occult topics, spent a lot of time focusing her research on spirits and demons associated with fire. She knows enough not to mess with powerful ones, however, she discovered that all fires have individual spirits, and these spirits can be shaped and manipulated to some degree. She discovered that she can control them by treating them like cats, which in turn shapes them into the form of a cat. She is still practicing her control over this, having only recently gained this power, and is steadily learning to control bigger and bigger fires.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). You must actively and obviously use a laser pointer to activate this Effect.
You may start a new fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. You may create fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 3 Damage per Round, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be depleted by any Damage dealt, destroying the Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
You may Exert your Mind to move a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace that is within 20 feet to another location within 20 feet. You may Exert your Mind to draw a line which a fire up to twice as large as a fire in a residential fireplace cannot cross.
Your blood has hyper regenerative abilities, currently its full power is diluted but over time its strength will rise
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every 6 hours, starting once it becomes stabilized. You may also Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of a single stabilized Injury by 1. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.
Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain.
Once an Injury has been reduced in Severity by two levels, it no longer benefits from this effect and instead heals as normal.
Skyla fidgets with whatever jewerly she has on; it doesn't matter what, and it isn't strictly necessary, but it helps to have something that makes her feel connected. She blinks, and a set of nictating membranes crawl across her eyes before her throat opens and she lets out a wail, sounding like a mix between an animal and a human baby. Rain follows shortly after in clouds so steel-gray they're nearly blue on the edges.

These are the seasons of emotion
And like the wind, they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion
I see the torch
We all must hold
This is the mystery of the quotient, quotient
Upon us all, upon us all, a little rain must fall
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 60 feet of you.
You create a hemispherical dome of rain originating at the chosen Location, with a radius of 60 feet, and lasting for 5 minutes. The area inside your zone is affected in the following ways:
Your zone blends with the environment, seeming to arise naturally from local effects. Observers who roll Perception + Alertness and achieve an Outcome 4 or higher notice that it is unnatural.

Haley's form quickly morphs into the massive 10 meter tall form of Jira, a truly enormous theropod-like monster. With an upright stance and a long powerful tail dragging along the ground matching monsters of pop-culture. Jira is built for destruction in bulk, not so much for dexterity or precision. The large stride of Jira allows him to move faster than Haley, but not by much (30 Feet of Free Movement).

If you are restricted, restrained, dazed, sleepy, or stunned, you may activate this Effect to break free or end the negative effect. You cannot free yourself by transforming more than once a minute.
While transformed, you are obviously unusual, unnatural, or alien, and the average person will take a special interest in you.
You may only use this Effect once per day.

This Effect cannot be used unless you continuously play music for your target during the activation. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6.
Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.
Once per day per target, you may choose to use this Effect to stabilize the Mind of a target within arm's reach. Treatment takes 30 seconds but will not remove any Traumas. If you are successful, restore 2 Mind damage.

Their skin has faded to a deathly pale, only regaining something close to human complexion in the immediate aftermath of feeding on human blood. This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you staring at the target, speaking calmly. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
Driving rugged vehicles in a combat situation is second nature to the Soldier.
