You cannot ignore or decrease the effects of Stress for any Self-Control rolls you make.
Kresniks are the antithisis of vampires yet they share similarities, while vampires must gather the lifeforce of the living in order to sustain themselves and fuel their abilities, Kresniks naturally regenerate lifeforce at a much greater rate than other living beings
Kresniks can harness their lifeforce similar to how a vampire does in a variety of ways varying from each individual.

You no longer age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail.
In times where Laurence is being attacked by what he doesn't believe, Laurence's subconscious starts to attempt to defend him without clueing him in to what he is doing as not to cause strain on reality. this causes a sharp pain in Laurence's head in the moment (and then a sharper pain in the other's head if it works).
This Effect activates whenever attacked by something supernatural or completely alien to laurence. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Sapient or Creature target within 20 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma. Roll Brawn + Alertness Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target loses that much Source. Once their Source is depleted, excess Outcome is applied as Mind Damage. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target gains a new Trauma of your choice. The Trauma should be general and not specifically mention you. You should not have to be involved to trigger the Trauma.
This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.

Summons a night-gaunt, an unnerving creature that appears to be a pitch-black, horned, winged humanoid with no face. While not particularly powerful physically, night-gaunts generate no noise when they move, making them well suited for stealth and recon. Oddly enough, they're quite fond of tickling their opponents or victims.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: ring a bell forged of cold iron whilst murmuring a spell of summoning. You must actively and obviously use a small bell forged from cold iron to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
Summon a single Night-Gaunt at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Normans body rearranges into something much more spindly and skittering. Their ribcage inverts and lances of bone jut out of a newly grown thorax into vestigial limbs. They crawl on all fours, carried by fingers elongated so far that their skin can barely stretch to accommodate them. Their head splits in half, morphing into something halfway between the mouth of a shark and the pincers of an ant.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action. Whenever you fail or botch a Trauma or Self-Control roll, you must activate this Effect.
You transform into a fleshy alien insectoid for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a fleshy alien insectoid, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 1. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see their head splitting apart and turning into a mouth.
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
The Thief has a stash in which they can store a few objects. It can be accessed through any burlap sack.
Spend a Quick Action. You must actively and obviously use a burlap sack to activate this Effect.
You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.
You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a briefcase (15 liters), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.
You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.
The Psychic can speak directly into someone's mind, engaging in an entirely telepathic conversation. While they do, they take on a blank, vacant stare in the direction of their target, and appear to be muttering gibberish to themselves under their breath.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target any distance away from you. You must have a specific target in mind, but you require only an intuitive understanding of them, such as their name, face, or Location. This Effect cannot be used unless you can see your target.
You open up a line of communication to your target, and may converse with them as long as one of you maintains Concentration
The conversation will only be perceived by the intended recipient. You must share a common language for your target to understand the message.
The beastmaster puts their nose to the ground and sniffs about the area. Their feral nostrils tell them what sorts of creatures live in the area, and who lays claim to each region.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet Can only be activated while you are in the wilderness. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Survival at Difficulty 6.
