The user writes in the journal and manifests a connection between their dreams and a target. As they do so, wisps of otherworldly color momentarily surround the target, beckoning them to fall into the dream. When they do so, they are enveloped into a dream world of the user's choosing, where a version of themselves exists as a guide for the target.
Spend an Action. Select a single Living or Animate target or a Location within 300 feet. If you select a Location, all Living or Animate targets within 20 feet of the chosen Location, besides yourself, are affected. Roll Charisma + Culture at Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, affected targets becomes drowsy for the next 30 minutes, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. At the end of their drowsiness, they fall asleep for Contested Outcome x 3 hours.
Sleeping targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, and can only be awoken by taking Damage or nearing death from hunger, thirst, or suffocation. Drowsy targets always fall asleep, regardless of what happens while they are drowsy.
You may determine the content of an affected target's dreams while they are asleep, but they must involve you in some way, and will reveal you as the source of their sleep as well as reveal secret information about yourself to them. By maintaining Concentration, you may enter their dreams and converse with them directly.
When activating this Effect you may attempt a knockout. If you do and your Contested Outcome exceeds 4, the target falls asleep immediately. Otherwise, they suffer the drowsy penalty for 2 Rounds.
The target can be compelled to take physical actions and use their senses by other Effects, and they will still remain asleep throughout. If this occurs, they will be obviously sleepwalking to anyone who observes them.
When an affected target wakes up, they remain drowsy for the next minute, and suffer a -3 dice penalty. If an affected target successfully resists being put to sleep, they will still become drowsy for the next minute, and will suffer the same penalty.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
Possession of this Artifact causes the following Battle Scar to manifest over the course of a day: Day Dreamer: You suffer a form of minor narcolepsy, as the dream journal beckons. Every two hours, if you do not rest for at least thirty minutes, roll Mind at Difficulty 7. On a failure, you become drowsy and suffer a -2 dice penalty until you rest. If you fail this check again without resting or botch, you fall asleep, Tortured Poet: Your vitality is sapped by the journal, amplifying any pain you feel. Any Stress from your Body score is multiplied by 1.5, rounded down. For example, if you are Wounded, you are at -3 Stress. At Mauled, you are at -4, and at Maimed, you are at -6, and Writer's Cramp: Writing in the dream journal has taken its toll. Whenever your right shoulder takes a major blow or is otherwise put under stress the GM may dislocate it. A dislocated limb cannot be used until you Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reset it. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Battle Scar heals over the course of the next day.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: Grandiose Delusions: You fantasize about being the very best, superior to anyone else you meet, and present yourself as such. You must succeed a Self-Control roll in order to believe something or take an action which contradicts this delusion, Play The Role: You have the habit of embellishing who you are, preferring to act under a persona. Any time you are asked about yourself, or are offering information about yourself, you must succeed a Self-Control roll in order to tell the truth. If you are ever caught in a lie, you must attempt to justify the initial lie with more lies, and Never-Ending Dreams: Your sleep is consumed by grand, eternal fantasies your mind cannot resist. At the start of each Contract and each time you fall asleep, make a Self-Control roll. If you fail, you take one Mind damage. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.
Gaspar can worm a little of his smoke into someone's mind and move some neurons around. From the outside it looks like whatever he's burning has it's fumes unusually clinging around the target.
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Human target within arm's reach. You must use up smoking object in order to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8.
If the contested Outcome is positive, a specific period of time (up to 1 day long) from your target’s memory is replaced with new memories of your choosing. This is recorded as a Condition. The level of detail and completeness of the alteration depends on your Outcome. If you fail, the target realizes that you are attempting to alter their memories. Any alterations you make must feature yourself as you appear today in some way.
The period is chosen either by time (i.e. “last Friday night”) or by reference to a specific event (i.e. “when the murder occurred”).
Affected targets will invent new memories to justify the inconsistencies. For instance, if their memory was altered to include a new friend they don’t have, they may invent further memories of meeting that friend, spending time with them, etc.
The user of this gift begins to rotate their hand, ignoring their anatomy and making multiple clean rotations. When the user touches an object/material with the hand, the object/material physically twists, as if it was softened clay being molded by an unseen hand.
Upon waking up from the exhaustion of his first contract (and his newly gained narcolepsy) he looked at his hand. It was spinning. It spun counter-clockwise, at a rate of about 30 rotations per minute. Despite this, the bones in his wrist was not breaking and the muscles in his wrist were not tearing, as if his body was meant to turn like that.
When he reached to turn off his alarm clock, the rotation that the clock underwent was not harmless.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Sapient Object or piece of an Object or structure within arm's reach no larger than a purse (5 liters). Roll Dexterity + Occult Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
Serkha moves two objects into one another in such a way that instead of properly colliding, the objects start jittering with stored velocity. Serkha then simply walks into the shaking objects, the velocity transferred to him.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 125 feet away horizontally or 25 feet away vertically. This Effect cannot be used unless two loose objects are able to be moved to one another that are each five feet wide and five feet high, give or take one foot at most. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you smash directly into the ground instead, taking a Severity-4 Injury.
You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
Lorenzo sets a pile of $10,000 cash (or equivalent in other currency) on fire. As it burns, gold-green smoke wafts up from the blaze and into the nostrils of Lorenzo and 5 other people, who become immediately very high and full of euphoric bliss.
Spend an Action to activate. Select a number of Living targets equal to your Charisma within arm's reach. You must use up $10000 cash in order to activate this Effect. Roll Charisma + Alertness at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8.
If you succeed, for the next hour, affected targets will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by happiness, joy, euphoria, or bliss. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way. Your own emotions are also shifted in the same way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
Both attacking someone and being attacked will end the Effect.
This Gift's level is capped at 2 Gifts and cannot be increased further.
The word used to heal the wound varies by the type, location, and severity. But I have learned to deal them all. You will be healed.
Exert your Mind and spend 15 minutes. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use Atlantian Grimoir to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 8.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
The psychic can glean various important details about a person simply by engaging in a short conversation with them.

The doctor heals severe injuries in minutes using only standard medical supplies. Lacerations seal under the needle and thread, and reset bones can be used shortly after.
However, for the treatment to last, the patient must adhere to any aftercare regimen the doctor requires. Those who violate the doctor's orders suffer their injuries anew.
Exert your Mind and spend 15 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use basic medical supplies to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 8.
You may specify a specific condition that the patient must adhere to. If they break this condition, the treatment is immediately reversed. Record this regimen as a Condition. Lasts until the end of their next Contract or 1 month for non-Contractors.
The Thief examines an object closely for a minute to appraise its value. As their eyes dance across the subject, their pupils split vertically, and their irises fade to gold. If it is a particularly valuable item, the Thief may greedily lick their lips, revealing a forked tongue.
Within a minute, they have determined how materially valuable the object is and why.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a target Object within arm's reach. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Culture at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:

The Future Soldier learned to create foam grenades in their own time period, and they still can, kinda. They look like glowing orange capsules with a rugged rubberized grip. When thrown, they burst into a splash of expanding neon orange foam. The foam hardens in seconds, severely hampering the movement of anyone unlucky enough to have been splashed. Those affected may use their hands or weapons to hack away at the foam and free themselves.
Occasionally, the fuses on these bootleg grenades fails, and they go off immediately.
Spend an Action and use up this small metallic grenade with pin (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Make a thrown Attack at a Location within normal Attack range. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are hit as it activates immediately at your present location. The target may roll to dodge or Defend, as normal for thrown Attacks. The Attack itself does not deal any Damage beyond the Effect.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but are reduced to ¼ of their movement speed.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of Damage equal to twice the original Contested Outcome. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
The hacker is capable of crafting bottles of nanites. When poured on a broken object, the nanites go to work restoring it to a functioning state. The goop shimmers and crawls, sparking with blue electricity as it reforms broken parts.
Spend 10 Rounds and use up this a bottle of metallic fluid. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. Cannot be used on Alien technology. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
