Whether it’s a spooky forest with lots of fog or a densely populated foreign city, you’ve seen enough tv shows to know they love switching up their settings. Insert tropes here. Looking around tells you what you need to know.
Spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 100 feet You must actively and obviously use glasses to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Investigation at Difficulty 6.
You learn the following information about the area:
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.

Laplace tells someone they are going to do something. "You will give me your gun." "You will tell me your deepest secret." "You will jump into the water." And by the time he finishes speaking, it's the truth.
(Note to self, single order, only "and" for describing conditions of completing task, not additional steps or tasks)
(Note to GMs, see extended description for relevant information)
Laplace's parasite stops him from uttering known lies, and he must exert himself to betray the limitations of his body. Within what little of the bounds he can stretch. The parasite, taking offense to the blatant lie, changes reality in order to remedy the situation.
This power is especially important since it allows him to more easily extract people's secrets, which he needs to feed the hunger the parasite inflicts on his body.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend at least one Action. Select a Human target within 20 feet. Your target may be actively engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
This Effect ends if you are stunned, fall asleep, go unconscious, are incapacitated, die, or if your total Stress ever exceeds 5.
A syringe filled with a fluid of peachy, blood-orange coloring.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. Select a Animate target within arm's reach.
For the next 24 hours, your target does not require any food, water, or sleep. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement is made at -1 Difficulty.
You may only use this Effect once per day.
Pey flicks a hand forward.
The lights in the area grow brighter and multicolored. People get the urge to dance. Spectral laughing figures move through the space, tugging at people's clothes, attempting to pull them into a dance.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 20 feet of you.
You create a hemispherical dome of Dancing Fae originating at the chosen Location, with a radius of 20 feet, and lasting for 5 minutes. The area inside your zone is affected in any number of the following ways:
Carver, with an air of professionalism, listens to her patient speak of their past experiences, and how they affect them in the day to day.
All Carver does is remove the compulsions left by traumatic experiences, allowing her patient control over themselves while tackling their traumas. They'll remember what happened to them, but it will no longer spark the same trauma response.
As long as the mind isn't traumatized *again* shortly afterwards. Otherwise the old connections resurface and it's back to square one, with extra baggage this time around.
All of this works on inhuman, even unliving physiology thanks to Carver's familiarity with the not-quite-human people around her. As long as they have a sentient mind capable of being traumatized, her powers allow her to detangle them.
Exert your Mind to activate. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. Over the course of one day, your patient must communicate with you and reveal at least one of their Traumas to you, including the details of those Traumas and the circumstances of how they were acquired. After the full treatment time has elapsed, roll Charisma + Medicine at Difficulty 6.
Your target may Resist. If your treatment is successful, you may remove one of the patient's revealed Traumas without incurring any Experience cost.
Your patient is required to not fail a limit check for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.
dark whispers echo in the minds of everyone close and hands reach up from the ground or air tearing at the target and ripping flesh from their body
Spend an Action. Select a target within 300 feet. Roll Intellect + Occult Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling Body, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this Damage.
The target suffers a -3 dice penalty for the next hour or until the Injury is healed. This dice penalty does not stack multiple times on the same target.
If you successfully hit your target, the value of any Armor they are wearing is reduced by 2. For material armor, this penalty lasts until it is repaired. For intrinsic armor, it lasts until the end of Combat and any relevant wound is healed.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see dark whispers echo in the minds of everyone close and hands reach up from the ground or air tearing at the target and ripping flesh from their body.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 1.
Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: Delusion that dead are sacred. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.
The survivalist is adept at following an animal through any terrain. Once they find a recent track, they may focus their will to illuminate the trail of their target. Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You may select a target at any range if you use up fresh tracks of the target. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Survival at Difficulty 6.

The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
Any information you gather is revealed by illuminating the trail in a glowing light and made publicly available.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
Doc puts his hands on you and begins to mutter to himself in french. The effect is instant and horrible. You begin to remember all of the sins of your past, all the ways that you've wronged those who loved you. All of the terrible, evil things you've done on these contracts in order to survive. Doc seems to be in the grips of similar memories, tears running down his chin and dripping onto his hands that are pressed tightly against you. At the point where your mind feels like it's about to break, it's over. Just as quickly as it began. You feel your wounds begin to close.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma. Your target must make a Trauma roll to reap the benefits of this Effect. They may choose to Resist the Effect and not make the roll. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Charisma + Medicine at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
