Description
A small earring in the shape of the cross of Saint Peter.
The item will not work if not specifically worn in the left ear.
Whenever a monster is detected within the specified range, the earring starts glowing magenta, and quietly whispering to it's wearer in a long dead language, alternating between a multitude of voices and tones. After a short interval of time ranging between 10 to 30 seconds the earring ceases it's anomalous activities and returns to normalcy.
In order to use the active component of the item, the wearer has to rub it for a couple of seconds, as though trying to polishing it.
System
Spend an Action and Exert your Mind to activate this Power for one minute. While this Power is active, all Monsters within 300 feet are detected, including those who enter its range after activation and those behind walls. You get a rough sense of how many, but not exact number.
Enhancements
- Catch a Whiff (If none of a specified type of target are within range, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.)
