A.N.A: One of many flesh computers... But one of the best, as far as she's been told.
He appears barely human, they seem to lack the human essence in their visage. Strange bone-like carapace covers her joints and their skin seems metallic.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Exoskeleton-like covering on their joints and a metal-like sheen on their skin. You are considered to be a Sapient, Non-Living Computer when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1, your Perception is increased by 1, and your Intellect is increased by 2.
Your Injuries no longer degrade with time.
You may make a +2 Weapon Damage Mind slash ((left hand)(Dex+Occult) Assault rifle) attack without additional equipment.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Disfigured (All social rolls are made at +1 Difficulty. The Beautiful Asset is suppressed as long as you have this Battle Scar).
You cannot ignore or decrease the effects of Stress for any social rolls you make.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Anti-Social You struggle with engaging in social interaction. In order to start a conversation with someone you have known for less than an hour, you must succeed a Self-Control roll. If you become the center of attention in a large group, you must succeed a Self-Control roll or Exert your Mind to avoid fleeing or shutting down. and Paranoia You have a natural distrust of everyone around you, and are always on edge looking for threats. You must roll Self Control in order to let another person remain in a position where they could easily hurt you, or to allow someone else to perform a task which is necessary to keep yourself safe. If you fail, you may Exert your Mind to overcome your fear..
The Severity of any Injury caused by magic is increased by 2.
You enter into an almost trance-like state to command any creature within 20 feet. No range limitation when in possession of a token belonging to the target. An exhilarating power, but exhausting!
One night in my cave a wolf arrived that had been in quite the brawl. One ear was barely hanging on by a scrap of fur. I fed the beast and cleaned it's wounds and in return I was able to keep his ear as a token. He is now a wary ally, but I hope we may become dear friends.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Creature within 20 feet. You may select a target at any range if you use up Wolf's ear of the target.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.
Your commands must be relatively simple and within the target’s intellectual grasp. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
This item before him rouses his anger like no other. He snaps. All his volatile, welled-up anger bursts from the inside of the object, blasting it to pieces. It can't hurt him now. At least - not until it's repaired.
On the name:
A term that Zephyren has learned in his Engineering classes, which is just a really roundabout way of saying something has blown up when it wasn't supposed to. A lot of things aren't supposed to explode, but does it stop Zeph from trying anyway? Not really.
On destruction:
He's the burnt aftermath of a blaze. He's the ashen trail left behind - always to be abandoned, always to be harmed and tossed away. He has to change that. He can't just let people get away with this. He'll take their place just so they can't do it to him willy-nilly anymore.
On anger:
Zephyren is a ball of anger. From the beginning he's got an intense anger for the world that he's just been keeping at the back of his mind, shelved for later use. It's melting down in the archives, it's overheating in the engines. He was never meant to hold it back. Now it's just a source for more anguish from the things he destroys out of spite. He tells himself that he feels horrible about it, but in the long run, he thinks he's better off taking out his anger on lifeless items. Unfortunately, it seems that channeling his anger in any way still has consequences...
On expletives:
Something is stopping Zephyren from saying something truly unforgivable. This power does it for him. It screams and wallows over all the stupid decisions people have made, all the ways they could've solved all their problems if they weren't [insert slurs here]. He's heard other people say these things all the time back home, so why couldn't he? He knows why. He only hopes that social convention isn't the only thing that's holding him back.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Sapient Object or piece of an Object or structure within 20 feet no larger than a purse (5 liters). Roll Perception + Occult Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see a firebird forcefully expanding from within and mutilating itself so it could escape the object.
Forget!
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Sapient target within 300 feet. Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, a specific period of time (up to 1 hour long) from your target’s memory is either replaced with new memories or forgotten entirely. This is recorded as a Condition. The level of detail and completeness of the alteration depends on your Outcome. If you fail, the target realizes that you are attempting to alter their memories.
The period is chosen either by time (i.e. “last Friday night”) or by reference to a specific event (i.e. “when the murder occurred”). You may also choose to only alter a single specific detail rather than an entire period, such as a password, phone number, directions, etc.
You may use this Power to detect and repair any altered memories in the Target's mind.
If the Contested Outcome of your activation roll is 4 or higher, the activation cost of this Effect is refunded.
This track star may be the fastest thing on two legs.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is quadrupled.
If your last Action was used for an all-out sprint or you are already accelerated, you may spend an Action to accelerate without a roll, adding 300 feet/Round (not affected by your speed bonus) to your sprint speed, to a max of an extra 900 feet/Round. As long as you stay at these speeds, you may use this distance per Round as your Free Movement.
Any terrain you traverse while accelerated must be passable by a standard vehicle at similar speeds. Stopping, turning sharply, or decelerating more than 300 feet/Round must be performed as an Action. Failing to decelerate with an Action (whether because of an obstacle, sudden unfavorable terrain, an Injury, or other event) deals 3 Damage which Armor does not reduce.
If you perform an all-out Sprint while this Effect is active, all Attacks targeting you suffer -3 dice for the next Round.
When you roll initiative, you may Exert your Mind before you roll to ignore Stress and get +2 to your Outcome.
You may Exert your Mind and spend a Reaction to automatically dodge any incoming Attack. You do not need to roll.
Sheriff Perkins can, with great focus and mental strain, channel his will and energy to cause objects to move about. The effort of this causes his eyes to take on a faint blue glow.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You can interact with things that are within 75 feet without needing to physically touch them or be near them. Any rolls made for Actions taken in this way use a Mental Strength of 2 in place of your Brawn rating and a Mental Agility of 2 in place of your Dexterity.
Telekinetic actions have the following restrictions and behaviors:
The doctor heals severe injuries in minutes using only standard medical supplies. Lacerations seal under the needle and thread, and reset bones can be used shortly after.
However, for the treatment to last, the patient must adhere to any aftercare regimen the doctor requires. Those who violate the doctor's orders suffer their injuries anew.
Exert your Mind and spend 15 minutes. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use basic medical supplies to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 8.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain. You may specify a specific condition that the patient must adhere to. If they break this condition, the treatment is immediately reversed. Record this regimen as a Condition. Lasts until the end of their next Contract or 1 month for non-Contractors.
The beastmaster shouts, and their human voice cracks into a deep, bestial roar. Their body swells with muscle, clothes melting into a thick pelt of fur. Seconds later the beastmaster is gone. Standing in their place is a massive grizzly bear.
However, even in human form the beast within remains close to the surface, and the beastmaster finds highly civilized social situations unbearable.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You transform into a brown bear for two hours or until you choose to end the Effect. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you cannot use your Active, Targeted, or Trap Powers. However, you can use your Passive Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Intolerance for society. When you are in a situation with strict social protocols (like a trial or a formal dinner) roll Self-Control not to enter a flight or fight response.
Through years of practice, the mobster is able to shatter someone's kneecap without much effort.
Spend an Action. Select a Living or Animate target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use a melee weapon to activate this Effect. Roll Brawn + Melee at Difficulty 6. The target may roll Body, -2 dice at Difficulty 7, as a Free Action to resist.
If you succeed, the target receives a new Battle Scar of your choosing, limited by the contested Outcome:
All alterations you make must damage the target's knees.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
While submerged, the aquamancer can fully sustain themselves from the waters around them, entirely forgoing food, drink, and even air. They may also enter a state of hibernation, remaining underwater and incapacitated for up to two months.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are submerged in water.
You no longer require any food, water, or air in order to survive. You no longer age naturally, and supernatural attempts to age you fail. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement automatically succeeds.
You may spend one minute entering a state of hibernation, during which you are inanimate and unaffected by any requirements for life. You may still perceive the outside world and may spend 3 Rounds "waking up" to end it.
The magician places a mirror to reflect a subject and conjures an illusion that perfectly replicates it!
If the illusion is touched, it shatters into a thousand tiny shards of glass.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: place a mirror such that it reflects the subject of your illusion. Select a target within 45 feet. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
a reflection of something else in the area, which can be no larger than a person is generated at your target, and it will remain in place for the next minute or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You may create a replica of a specific being or Object, though it is still limited by what you do or do not know about the subject.
Anyone who touches the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion, and the entire effect will be ended for all targets.
The illusion will remain fixed to its initial target, and can only change locations if the initial target is mobile in some way. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.
