A brown potion. Standard tiny glass material. The most common use is to throw a potion of sickness at the target and let the enervating effects take place.
The cursed variant backfires and makes you sick instead.
Spend an Action and use up this potion. Select a Living target within 25 feet. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply. Your target may resist by rolling Body at Difficulty 8.
If you succeed, the target is afflicted with a Condition that causes one of the following symptoms:
The affliction is not treatable by modern medicine. It may be diagnosed by rolling Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6, and can be cured by drinking fruit juice.
The Beastmaster holds up a bowl of chunky green liquid and begins the process of his transformation as his allies bide for time.
Use up this green guacamole-like mixture and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: consume the guac, then howl or roar very dramatically towards the moon (or sun). You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You transform into a very furry and animalistic version of yourself for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a very furry and animalistic version of yourself, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 2, your Dexterity is increased by 1, and your Perception is increased by 1. Your Stress is reduced by 2.
Your body is adapted to smell. You receive +3 dice on non-attack rolls related to smell.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
Your alternate form renders you unable to speak any human language and incapable of fine object manipulation. You can only hold or grasp objects in a crude, clumsy way.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
A condensed ball of The Flesh detaches from your body, undulating on its own. When it comes in contact with its intended target, it will force its way into their form, granting terrifying visions of what it could do.
Take a Severity-1 Injury, spend an Action, and use up this condensed ball of The Flesh. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 8 with a -3 dice penalty. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically and their Outcome is 0.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes Mind damage equal to the Contested Outcome. If you deal at least 3 Mind damage, the target will gain a new Trauma selected by the GM. This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Smoke fills the targeted system. Changing the devices hardware to affect its coding. Wiping it completely if necessary.
Spend 1 minute and use up this cigarette. Select a Computer within 20 feet. Does not work on Alien technology. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply. Sapient targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you may issue a single command to the targeted system. This command must have a specific outcome or be a request for specific login credentials. The command you issue must be within the machine's current capabilities. For example, you cannot order a standard security camera to grow legs and walk around.
You may issue a "self-destruct" command that leaves the hacked system's hardware inoperable, even if that machine had no such functionality previously. Only works on Computers.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is the end of the cigarette burns slightly brighter. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
Large purple pill kept in a steel water tight pill bottle.
Spend 1 Action and use up this Purple Pill. Select a Living target within arm's reach.
You may cure any Non-Alien diseases, toxins, or poisons afflicting your target even if you have not diagnosed or fully understood it. You may only cure diseases which can be treated with modern medicine. During treatment, the malady you are treating does not progress or cause additional Damage or other effects.
The red shoe lace quickly increases in length and winds itself around it's user into a chest harness and two wing-like loops. It can also wind itself around another person at the users choice carrying them around with the user. The user is able to levitate at high speeds while the wing-loops extend from them. After ten seconds the laces retract back to their normal length and lose their red color.
Use up this shoe lace and spend a Free Action to activate.
You may levitate off the ground at six times your normal walking speed. The effect lasts for the next three rounds, though you may choose to end it at will.
You may carry up to 1 passengers without increasing your Encumbrance. Any passengers must maintain physical contact with you or another passenger or the effect will end for them.
The Witch prepares a vial of green fluid that can be used to poison any food or drink. Anyone who consumes the poison will grow drowsy and then fall into a deep sleep. While unconscious, the victim dreams of the witch and learns a secret about them.
Use up this vial of green liquid and spend an Action to turn food or drink into a trap. This trap lasts until triggered or disarmed. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
The trap looks like food or drink. Only those who have seen this trap before can identify it as a trap. Anyone who is aware of the trap may intuitively avoid, trigger, or destroy it.
Any Living target within within arm's reach that uses the trap as food or drink will trigger it. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
When the trap is triggered, your target becomes drowsy for the next 3 Rounds, during which time they suffer an additional -2 dice Penalty to all Actions. At the end of their drowsiness, they fall asleep for Outcome x 3 hours.
Sleeping targets will not prematurely wake up on their own, and can only be awoken by taking Damage or nearing death from hunger, thirst, or suffocation. Drowsy targets always fall asleep, regardless of what happens while they are drowsy.
An affected target's dreams while they are asleep will involve you in some way, and will reveal you as the source of their sleep as well as reveal secret information about yourself to them.
The user places this slip of paper from the mystic against their head, speaks the inscribed phrase, and envisions a time they wished they were alone. the paper bursts into a shockwave that pushes all weak-minded beings away. Spend an Action and use up this paper with mysterious calligraphy. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
Create a repulsion field which extends out 45 feet from you in every direction, and lasts for the next 3 Rounds. Any beings with 6 Mind or less within the field cannot move any closer towards you. If they were within 45 feet from you when you activated the effect, they are immediately pushed back to the edge of the repulsion field.
You must maintain Concentration during this Effect.
The Ninja always prepares a few smoke bombs ahead of time to get out of sticky situations. They can fill a room with smoke in an instant and last long enough for the Ninja to make an escape or find an opening for attack.
Spend an Action and use up this smoke bomb.
You create a hemispherical dome of smoke originating at your Location, with a radius of 20 feet. and lasting for 5 minutes. The area inside your zone is affected in the following ways:
The mutant now occasionally lays large, orange-speckled eggs. These Eggs do not hatch nor spoil. If cracked and applied to a chronic injury such as a missing limb, the scar heals completely within the hour. However, any area healed by the egg will forever carry an inhuman appearance as testament to the bizarre method of treatment.
Spend a minute and use up this unusually large egg (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Select a Living target within arm's reach. Select a Battle Scar on your target to treat.
The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect.
Healing a Battle Scar in this way leaves behind an inhuman attribute such as fur, scales, or feathers on the target which cannot be healed.
The hacker is capable of crafting bottles of nanites. When poured on a broken object, the nanites go to work restoring it to a functioning state. The goop shimmers and crawls, sparking with blue electricity as it reforms broken parts.
Spend 10 Rounds and use up this a bottle of metallic fluid. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. Cannot be used on Alien technology. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll 7 dice Difficulty 6, dice penalties do not apply.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
