The power to learn new information about the area you are in.

(During Effect activation, you are obviously investigating the area. You must actively and obviously be using some type of eyeglasses.)

Mike marks the glasses with runes representing knowledge and revelation. He then looks through the lenses at the surrounding area, letting the runes absorb trace energies from nearby sources of power, as well as the traces left behind by beings who have passed through. At the end of a minute, the rune markings "drain" backward from the lenses into Mike's eyes, imparting the knowledge of what they have absorbed and leaving behind an unmarked surface

After facing the storms, Mike was forced to confront his weakness in information gathering, and delved into studying ways to reveal hidden information. the quality of what he gleans is tied to how well the runes are drawn, as a crisp, superlative rune provides detailed information, so does a crude, deformed rune give a murkier view.

You learn the following information about the area:

  • You can locate the source of any Alien energy or the presence of any Alien effects on the area. Specific information about the function of these effects beyond their general type is not forthcoming.
  • You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

Community Investigate Area Gifts

Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must actively and obviously use Mirrored Surface to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6.

You learn the following information about the area:

  • You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
  • You learn how heavily trafficked the area is, what sorts of Animate beings have moved through the area and when.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.

You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

In his time as a construction worker, he's built a couple of dozen homes, repaired roads, and helped out with even more projects for a contract. Taking this knowledge and expanding it he's started to gain an almost uncanny sense of how a building is made, what rooms it has, and the measurements of everything.   • You can tell which entities lay claim to each part of the area and how these borders have shifted over time.
  • You learn where exactly creatures and people live within the area, and what sorts of creatures they are.
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
