This also includes understanding any recorded communications from the relevant targets, including writings, scent trails, etc.
- The target of "human" refers to any target that speaks a human language.
- When reading written communications, you get no information beyond what the writer was intending to communicate.

"Most people know Offr.com as the home of the gig economy: a website where you can find a buyer for your old couch, and a worker to haul it away. It’s the home of everything from marketplace goods and bespoke commissions to task fulfillment and transportation services. Some whisper about less-than-legal deals being available on a 'dark web' version of Offr.com. The company denies these claims."
Sooner or later, all Contractors receive an invitation to join Offr Red, the secret membership tier. Offr Red members gain access to exclusive high-confidence, anonymous services. They can sell extraordinary items to Offr or put them up for auction for other Offr Red members to bid on. Crafty Contractors rejoice!
On rare occasions, Offr can even make deals to tie up pesky Loose Ends. However, they always demand a special favor in return.

Dead Souls
The user writes the name and surname of their target within their journal before drawing a large X over it, the moment the X is created the shadow of the user detaches and becomes an image of the deceased, resembling their moment at the time of their death with all injuries present, their form is mostly amorphous and constantly swirling in darkness. When the time elapses the target disappears and the shadow returns to the user with the x over the name being removed.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. Select a Dead target within arm's reach. In order to target the Dead, you must have their true name. You must actively and obviously use A leather journal to activate this Effect.
The target can communicate in your language for the next ten minutes.

It takes about a minute for Frank to focus his mind and ready himself for a proper investigation. Once prepared, he can effectively speak with any potential witnesses regardless of language barriers. In his mind, he's still speaking English, it's just translated out to the appropriate language by the time it leaves his mouth.

If you use this Effect to spend an hour speaking with a native speaker of a human language you don't know, you may Exert your Mind and roll Intellect + Culture Difficulty 7. With Outcome 4 or higher, you permanently learn that language and accent.

Dark Contact
Speak to the Other Side
Neil gathers Miasma, which coalesces into a humanoid shape, and chants the name of the one he wishes to speak with. After a minute, a phantasmal mimicry of the deceased's form appears, allowing Neil to speak with them.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their Their full, True Name.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

I Sea You
You are Sean (he thinks that seen is spelt Sean but like its not, but someone told him it was, so hes believed them for years.)
The Dive dumps a galleon of water on himself; and by hydrating himself immensely--he is able to imbue a fish (or a person I guess) with the ability to speak fish (or human i guess) temporarily--but if, and should, he fuck up... he loses his own speech because he internally drowns.
Spend an Action. Select a human or Creature target within 50 feet. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you lose the ability to speak english, or any langauge, for the next hour. (you can only make blubbing and bubble sounds). You must use up A galleon of water in order to activate this Effect.

The Necromancer spits into the mouth of a recently deceased corpse. For the few minutes, the corpse's head comes back to life and speaks to the Necromancer.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within arm's reach. Dead targets must have died within the past week, and you must have their remains in your possession.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

Beastlish

The beastmaster can speak to and understand any animal.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You may understand and communicate to terrestrial animal as if you are fluent in a relevant language.
- Communing with terrestrial animal does not grant them intellect but does allow you to converse with them.
