Eric begins to cough releasing a custom-made toxin into the air that he has created within his body, this then begins to eat away at the targets body and mind returning all to rot as it works its way through the body, the toxin can be stopped by partaking of the plague lord's blessing and consuming venom
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Living target within arm's reach. Roll Intellect + Crafts at Difficulty 6. Your target may resist by rolling Body at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the target is afflicted with a Condition that causes one of the following symptoms:
The affliction is not treatable by modern medicine. It may be diagnosed by rolling Intellect + Science at Difficulty 6, and can be cured by Consuming an anti venom.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is coughing. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
The gills on his chest flare outward & suddenly a high-pressure cutting torrent of high-PSI water blasts outwards from his mouth--cutting the man Infront of him in half.
Alternatively; he can purify salt water & dispense it from his gills for people to drink.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: visible gills on his chest. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living Creature when targeted. Your Brawn is increased by 1 and your Charisma is increased by 1.
While in the ocean, heat, cold, pressure, and other atmospheric hazards do not affect you, and dangerous local flora and fauna will not bother you unless you give them a reason.
Your body provides you with the functionality of water purifier. If used to attack, these "tools" use the same stats as a small knife.
You may make a +2 Weapon Damage high pressure hydropump (Shotgun; Brawn + Athletics) attack without additional equipment.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Just Add Water (On a normal day you must "take in" atleast 5x (5 gallons) the typical amount of liquids a person would normally consume. You roll at +2 Difficulty against any Exposure made against excessively hot or arid enviorment, or water deprivation.) and Deepman (Ontop of additional Dice Penalties, you suffer up to 3 Dice Penalty when in excessively dry or hot enviorments & roll at up to +2 Difficulty to resist Exposure against them. This does not apply if you, at the GM's discretion, are regularly and excessively hydrated.).
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Lord of the Sea (You must roll Self Control to ever hurt any ocean, sea, or marine animal--any animal which dwells in the sea, for any reason.).
You cannot ignore or decrease the effects of Stress for any Self-Control rolls you make.
Sora's clothes seem to almost leave a trail of smoke and ash behind them as he walks, the red seeming to shimmer like magma. His footsteps leave small patches of frost as they land. You could swear you could see lightning arc under his skin.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Chimera. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living being when targeted..
While in Tundra or Magmatic zones, heat, cold, pressure, and other atmospheric hazards do not affect you, and dangerous local flora and fauna will not bother you unless you give them a reason.
It would be rather conceited and grandiose of Luci to label herself as a Master of Shadows, but this evolution in her connection to the Well makes it a close call.
Just like the conspiracy theorists say, the shadows can indeed talk. In fact, they can have quite a lot to say about those that like to hide within them. Luci would know- she's seen them both in and out of The Well. Whether they're all that happy about it is one of many philosophical questions, but the fact of the matter is that they do indeed talk.
Such beings only require a bit of nudging and a sip of her Source in order to spill what they know and act as beacons for Luci. Not only do they point her in the proper direction, but they will also aware her as to what her targets are hiding from or disguising themselves for.
And even without any direct calls to action, Luci's intuition awares her of any restless or uneasy shadows that might have information about nearby scoundrels for her.
The shadows that exist outside of the Well are either only personified by Luci herself or a product of her power. When a shadow points her in a direction, it manifests more as a feeling than an actual shadow getting up pointing in any particular directing.
Think of it more like Luci projecting herself into the surrounding darkness- a process that while not riskless, is certainly fruitful.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: Luci mutters for the shadows to show their hand as she pours her Varnish at her feet. You must use up 6 units of Varnish in order to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.
You automatically detect all hidden beings (i.e. actively in hiding or actively conealing their presence) and disguised beings (i.e. actively wearing/using a disguise/facade) within 1 mile of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
If no hidden beings (i.e. actively in hiding or actively conealing their presence) or disguised beings (i.e. actively wearing/using a disguise/facade) targets are within 1 mile of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.
Any hidden beings (i.e. actively in hiding or actively conealing their presence) and disguised beings (i.e. actively wearing/using a disguise/facade) detected while this Effect is active are “marked”. You will continue to detect them until the Effect ends, no matter how far away they move. You will also continue to detect them after the Effect ends, so long as they remain within 1 mile of you.
You learn basic information about why each detected being is being detected. For example, if you detect Criminals, you may learn how many crimes they have committed and what type.
You receive a detailed silhouette of their body and clothes for each being you detect.
By properly cycling their Qi through their body, a Martial Artist may accelerate the rate at which they heal from their injuries, as well as force their wounds to seal themselves, preventing infection and blood loss.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level every day, starting once it becomes stabilized. You may also Exert your Mind and spend an Action to reduce the Severity of a single stabilized Injury by 1. Does not affect Injuries suffered as an activation cost for Effects.
Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain. Any Injuries you receive automatically count as a successful Makeshift Stabilization and do not deteriorate further.
Isaac is sometimes able to perceive undead beings such as ghosts and spirits. When doing so, he covers his eyes with his hands for a moment, gripping his face, and faint glowing eyes manifest on the back of his hands as he whispers to himself. These eyes are large and unearthly, looking in all directions yet none at all.
An inexperienced Isaac performed a ritual early into his study, one of his firsts. Looking back, it was stupid of him to attempt a ritual like this, it could have easily killed him, and condemned his soul for eternity. This ritual involved rubbing the ashes from cremated eyeballs on his own, under a supermoon. These eyes came from a lesser god known as Macula the Fearful, a lesser god that was killed by another, Issac was merely the vulture feasting on his corpse.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means.
You automatically detect all undead beings within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
If no undead beings targets are within 300 feet of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.
Even if there are no undead beings within 300 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Otherworldly eyes manifest above your face, the sockets being filled with hundreds of quivering eyes.
The time-traveler spins the second hand on one of their watches and speeds up until they are a blur.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch to activate this Effect.
Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
There's a certain strength that comes from displaying the flag of one's country. As long as the Soldier holding their country's flag or wearing something emblazoned with it, they are less likely to be injured in battle.
You gain the following benefits at all times. You must actively and obviously be using clothes or a uniform that displays the flag of your country to gain the benefits of this Effect.
You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.
Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume flesh every day or it will die again.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
The time-twister spins a dial on one of her watches, slowing time for everyone but her and one other person.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch or clock to activate this Effect.
Lasts 1 minute.
While using this Effect, you may carry one other being without affecting your Encumbrance, so long as you maintain contact with them for the duration and they consent or are grappled.
The Toon performs some sort of cartoonish act of violence. This may be handing someone a bomb, hitting someone with a cartoon mallet, burping a burp that is so noxious it melts flesh, or anything else as long as it is cartoonish.
The attack is more of a throwaway gag than a plot element, so any props or properties of the attack are incidental and disappear immediately. Animated mallets evaporate in a puff of smoke, fire does not spread, and electricity cannot power devices.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. Roll Charisma + Performance Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4. Armor is fully effective against this damage.
