River smokes a joint and channels his desire for food to form a new organ in his sinuses for detecting food. Rotting / rancid meat does not count as meat.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: smoke a joint. You must use up a joint in order to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You automatically detect all food including fresh meat within 300 feet of you for the next hour. You have a clear sense of both the distance and direction towards any detected items. When you detect objects, instead of learning nothing about them, you may observe each object with all of your senses.
The means by which any food including fresh meat are hidden or disguised is made clear to you, as well as how to access them if they are secured. This includes objects secured via the Stash Effect.
Thad's bass licks are so powerful and resonant that they create a barrier of sound waves in a sphere around him, stopping projectiles in their tracks, and even sometimes sending them bouncing back at their attackers. The air around him seems to vibrate and fuzz as his riffs keep chugging.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. You must actively and obviously use a bass guitar to activate this Effect. Roll Dexterity + Performance at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a Barrier extending out 15 feet from yourself, which absorbs 2 times the next Outcome Damage. Only applies to attacks which originated outside the 15 foot radius, and protects anyone who is within that radius. The Damage reduction from the Barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The Barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of damage. When a Barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds. As long as it does not fall, the barrier regenerates back to full strength at the end of each Round of combat.
Edgar must consume a portion of a corpse (ideally the tongue, but any bit will do), gaining fluency in any language the target knew for the next hour. On occasion, he will learn the language indefinitely. The echoes of memories lay dormant within the Ghoul, allowing him to immediately recognize any language he hears.
When consuming the flesh of the dead, Ghouls can sometimes gain fluency in languages known to those they have eaten. Unlike the scraps of memory they usually gain, maintaining such an intuitive block of information is fleeting at best, rarely lasting more than an hour. A ghoul may attempt to facilitate this process by eating the tongue of the deceased, although any pound of flesh will do in a pinch.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. This Effect cannot be used unless you consume flesh from someone who knows the language in question. You must use up flesh of the target in order to activate this Effect.
You may understand and communicate to humans and Sapient beings as if you are fluent in a relevant language for the next hour.
This also includes understanding any recorded communications from the relevant targets, including writings, scent trails, etc.
Whenever you encounter a Language you could commune in with this Effect, you immediately understand which language it is, the dialect, region, and other details about it.
If you use this Effect to spend an hour speaking with a native speaker of a human language you don't know, you may Exert your Mind and roll Intellect + Culture Difficulty 7. With Outcome 4 or higher, you permanently learn that language and accent.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Cannabalism.

Instead, you remain Incapacitated.
While transformed, your Attributes are the same. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.
Your alternate form is its own deadly weapon. Unarmed attacks made in your alternate form deal +3 Weapon Damage (instead of the typical -1).
If you become Incapacitated or suffer an Injury Severity 4 or greater, you revert from your Alternate form.
