Grace's olfactory senses have evolved tremendously due to her bestial affliction. Similar to a shark, she can distinguish things based on scent alone and see in the dark without any lighting.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Smell: Your nose is highly sensitive and can differentiate between scents the way a dog can, as well as recognize things you have smelled before.
  • Sight: You can see perfectly in dark and even pitch-black environments. You suffer no dice penalty due to darkness.

Any senses which have been heightened cannot be overloaded. Battle Scars you receive cannot affect these senses.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Gilled Stomach: The flesh of your stomach is lined and exposed like a shark's gills. Called shots against your stomach do +2 damage. If an attack hits you which could conceivably hit your stomach, roll 1d10 at Difficulty 6. If you fail, the attack hits your soft spot and does +2 damage and Atlantean Affliction: You require liquid like a creature of the sea. You must intake at least five times the typical amount of liquids a person would normally consume per day (typically a gallon). Additionally, Exposure rolls made against water deprivation or excessively hot or arid environments are made at +2 Difficulty.

  • Examples of overloading a sense include: an explosion causing temporary deafness, a bright light causing blindness, a sedative causing numbness, etc.

  • Smell: Your nose is highly sensitive and can differentiate between scents the way a dog can, as well as recognize things you have smelled before.
  • Sight: You can see things that are normally invisible to the naked eye, such as fingerprints and bacteria.

Any heightened senses require you to maintain Concentration to use, and do not apply to any passive Perception checks.

  • Your microscopic vision requires a close look at a very small, specific area to use. It does not grant increased distance vision, it simply provides a higher resolution, allowing you to see finer and finer detail.

You gain the following benefits at all times.

Your senses are enhanced in the following way.

  • Hearing: You are capable of perceiving physical shapes via sound. You must produce a tapping foot on ground to “ping” with your echolocation each Round you wish to use it.
  • Hearing: You may hear sounds of sub- and hyper-sonic frequencies, allowing you to hear tiny things (mice, insects, etc) better, and pick up on the vibrations of massive things (earthquakes, atmospheric disruptions, etc) long before others.
  • Hearing: You automatically know the origin location of any sound you hear, and you can tell which Action caused the sound.
  • Hearing: You may spend an Action to ultrasound a surface within arm’s reach. Doing so reveals the internal structures of beings or objects. When used on the ground or a wall, you detect any tunnels, pipes, or hallways within 40 feet.
