A monster in human skin That's... what I've been called at least.
Matthew is quite good at being a good person... However, he is still a horrid monster under all that beautiful fluff he uses to disguise his intentions. His glittery eyes swirl with a supernatural substance, constantly flowing, disrupting people's ability to discern his emotions, making him a much more welcomed member of whatever social situation he so finds himself in... With only a cold and apathetic stare remaining for others to see.
You gain the following benefits as long as you have your Glossy golden glittery eyes.
Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Psychopathy When faced with situations where you might exploit, manipulate, or harm others for personal gain, you must succeed a Self-Control roll to avoid acting on these tendencies--when you act on them, you must callously and aggressively pursue the course of action / opportunism. and Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) You inherently lack the capacity for empathy and regard for others. Whenever you attempt to act with kindness, compassion, or empathy, or take any action that involves caring for others, you must make a Self-Control roll: If you fail the roll, you will disregard or dismiss the needs, feelings, or well-being of others in your actions. Your approach will be purely self-serving and indifferent to the impact on those around you..
If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.
You also gain the following effects:
- Anime: You may have a 30 second conversation with another character on your initiative each Round in Combat, and using any Communication Effect takes a Free Action instead of a full Action.
- Party Animal: You are welcome at, and will be granted entrance to, any social gathering or party, at least as an observer.
- Poker Face: You reveal only what you want to reveal. It is impossible to determine whether or not you are lying. You may roll Charisma + Performance to resist any investigative Effect that targets you. If you successfully resist, you determine the info they get.
- A "social gathering" might include a birthday party, after-work drinks, a ski trip, or yoga in the park, among other things. It likely would not include a cult gathering to summon a demon, Congressional negotiations over a contentious bill, etc.
- In rare cases, GMs may require you to make a roll to lie to particularly powerful beings.
- If your Glossy golden glittery eyes is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months.
- Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

This man is filled to the brim with rizz. It's wild- almost otherworldly- that one person could harness such charisma. His smile alone could melt the hearts of anyone who casts their gaze in his direction.
Nightmares: there is one repetitive nightmare that occasionally triggers at night. Nico is alone in a dark forest, desperately running for his life. His body is covered in blood, his back is in agony, and something is hunting him. He always wakes up right before it catches him.

- Being forced to Stan will not force someone to violate any of their Limits or to engage in violence of any kind (though they may still do so of their own volition).

His usual outlook and tone of speaking has changed, more or less more agreeable to be with and looking like a honest joe. This is all simply false on the inside as he retains a new legendary level of charming others into his games, gambits, and scams with more ease with his likable speech patterns and honest face. Though with this new height of luck he has marked down onto his chest the wonderful Ace of Hearts tattoo on his chest as to say he will always be lucky.

Your Charisma rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Charisma (Cannot be used on combat rolls or Power activations).
If you are witnessed actively using this Effect, whoever sees it can make a Perception + Alertness roll at Difficulty 6. A complete success reveals the source of your power.
You also gain the following effects:
- Poker Face: You never give any outward indication of dishonesty. It is impossible to tell that you are lying, and you are able to fool any method of lie detection without making a roll.
- In rare cases, GMs may require you to make a roll to lie to particularly powerful beings.
- If your Tattoo of a Ace of Hearts on his chest, is damaged, destroyed, or lost, you lose all benefits from this Effect for the next two months, or until you can recover any relevant missing items (which may involve a side-game and requires a GM to approve whatever process is used).
