S0L spends some time finding where the problem lies inside their body, then starts shifting their inner machinery to bypass or repair any damage to the hardware.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 Action. Select a Non-Living or Animate target within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. You may target Alien technology, so long as you have an understanding of its intended function. This Effect cannot be used unless it is used on yourself. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Perception + Technology at Difficulty 6 (or 8 for Sapient targets).
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target.
If you are successful in repairing a Sapient Object, a single Injury on the target is reduced in Severity by your Outcome.
Blake rolls the coin along his knuckles.
Exert your Mind and spend at least one Action. Select a Human target within 20 feet. Your target may be actively engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Alertness at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to their best understanding of the letter and spirit of the command until they have completed it or for your Outcome in hours. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action and a conditional request. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
Bu fang takes some spare ingredients he find, upon which, he will then cook and turn into food that not only satisfy the body, but due to how good they are... The relaxation and warmth from the food heals not only the mind, but the body too. Not only that, but the meal is so good, that just the smell alone drags the soul back into the body, forcing it to restart in a attempt to eat the meal.
Exert your Mind (unless The target has eaten bu fangs food regularly in the past) and spend 1 minute. Select a Living or Dead target within arm's reach. You must use up a meal in order to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain. Your patient is required to Eat home cooked meals 3 times a day for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.
If you begin healing an Injury on a target that has been dead for less than a minute, and your healing reduces their Wound Level to a non-lethal level, their life is restored.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
Julia takes the bones, and does a number of different things. Carving sigils into them, making them paint, hiding them in the machine so that they dissolve over time or maybe even replacing entire parts of the machine with large enough bones. This imbues them with the energy contained within all things, allowing even simple items to pull off mundane feats.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. You must use up a pound of bones in order to activate this Effect. Cannot be used to improve Armor.
Lasts the next day. Your target receives 2 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +2 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice.
Dozens of pores open in Polamedes body and tiny nanomachines visually the size of tiny dust particles flood the air. They intercept wifi packets, radio waves, light, phone calls etc and send dummy data back to the sender to prevent anything from being noticed as amiss.
While Pol is ejecting these nanomachines large patches of skin are pulled towards the respective holes and shredded into paste to make organic matter for more machines. A horrible squalching sound is made for several seconds as enough bio matter is collected for each subsequent wave of Chaff.
Once all are ejected into the air the skin starts to regrow in fleshy bands that the tiny nanomachines pull taught and re-stitch over the skin of Polamedes.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. This Effect cannot be used unless In range of wifi. You must actively and obviously use Wire to activate this Effect.
You create a hemispherical dome of Dust (Nano machines) originating at your Location, with a radius of 200 feet. and lasting for as long as you maintain Concentration. You are fully immune to the effects of your zone. The area inside your zone is affected in any number of the following ways:
Your zone blends with the environment, seeming to arise naturally from local effects. Observers who roll Perception + Alertness and achieve an Outcome 4 or higher notice that it is unnatural.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Nano Chaff.
The user channels their runic powers, causing their runes to glow and allowing them to influence the thoughts of others. This ability becomes significantly easier to cast if you have a connection to the target, either through a meaningful possession or runic arrow.
Exert your Mind (unless Has Conduit) and spend at least one Action. Select a Human target within 20 feet. You may select a target at any range if you use up An object of sentimental value to the target of the target. Your target may be actively engaged in Combat. Communicate a command to your target. Roll Charisma + Athletics at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If the contested Outcome is positive, your target will be compelled to follow your command to the letter-- but not necessarily the spirit-- of the command until they have completed it or for your Contested Outcome in minutes. You cannot issue another suggestion to the target until 10 minutes after they have completed the first command or 10 minutes after a failure.
The target is unaware that they are under supernatural influence and feel they are acting of their own free will. If you fail, they realize that you were attempting to influence them supernaturally with your command.
Your command can be an order to take an immediate Action. You cannot order a target to "do nothing," and they are free to take other Actions as they fulfill your request. Your command cannot be obviously self-destructive. The Effect ends if following your command would cause a target to cross one of their Limits in a way that would necessitate a Trauma roll.
This Effect ends if you are stunned, fall asleep, go unconscious, are incapacitated, die, or if your total Stress ever exceeds 5.
The survivalist is adept at following an animal through any terrain. Once they find a recent track, they may focus their will to illuminate the trail of their target. Any part of the target's trail within eyeshot glows a bright, misty green. Even the trails made by vehicles the target was riding in are illuminated.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Select a Sapient target within 20 feet. You may select a target at any range if you use up fresh tracks of the target. At the end of your investigation, roll Perception + Survival at Difficulty 6.
You learn all the following information about your target:
The quality and specificity of information gained depends on your Outcome.
Any information you gather is revealed by illuminating the trail in a glowing light and made publicly available.
You cannot investigate the same target more than once per day.
The Necromancer spits into the mouth of a recently deceased corpse. For the few minutes, the corpse's head comes back to life and speaks to the Necromancer.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. Dead targets must have died within the past week, and you must have their remains in your possession.
The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.
No terrestrial animal dares defy the will of the beastmaster. The beastmaster exerts their dominance over an animal by locking eyes and giving a primal cry. The creature immediately becomes docile and eager to please.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Non-Alien Creature within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a terrestrial animal.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.
Your commands can be complex and multi-layered, though they must still be specific. You cannot make them obviously endanger themselves or violate their instinct for self-preservation. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
The mutant now occasionally lays large, orange-speckled eggs. These Eggs do not hatch nor spoil. If cracked and applied to a chronic injury such as a missing limb, the scar heals completely within the hour. However, any area healed by the egg will forever carry an inhuman appearance as testament to the bizarre method of treatment.
Spend a minute and use up this unusually large egg (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Select a Living target within arm's reach. Select a Battle Scar on your target to treat.
The treated Battle Scar heals as you finish activating this Effect. If used on a Battle Scar caused by an Unstabilized Injury, that Injury is Stabilized.
Healing a Battle Scar in this way leaves behind an inhuman attribute such as fur, scales, or feathers on the target which cannot be healed.
The Future Soldier learned to create foam grenades in their own time period, and they still can, kinda. They look like glowing orange capsules with a rugged rubberized grip. When thrown, they burst into a splash of expanding neon orange foam. The foam hardens in seconds, severely hampering the movement of anyone unlucky enough to have been splashed. Those affected may use their hands or weapons to hack away at the foam and free themselves.
Occasionally, the fuses on these bootleg grenades fails, and they go off immediately.
Spend an Action and use up this small metallic grenade with pin (unless you succeed on 1d10, Difficulty 7). Make a thrown Attack at a Location within normal Attack range. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you are hit as it activates immediately at your present location. The target may roll to dodge or Defend, as normal for thrown Attacks. The Attack itself does not deal any Damage beyond the Effect.
If you succeed, all affected targets will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but are reduced to ¼ of their movement speed.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of Damage equal to twice the original Contested Outcome. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
