When Widow’s Lament is unleashed, the air thickens with an almost tangible weight, as though the grief itself is pressing down on everyone nearby. Her howl cuts through the atmosphere like a jagged blade, raw and anguished, reverberating in the bones of those who hear it. The world seems to blur at the edges, colors dulling as all attention is pulled towards her, as if the very space around her bends and warps with the intensity of her sorrow. Her eyes burn with a deep, mournful light, and for a moment, it feels as if nothing else exists but her pain.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action. A number of Sapient, Living targets within 50 feet who can perceive you through any of their senses no greater than your Charisma rating are affected. Audiences or mobs with a singular focus count as one target. Roll Charisma + Performance at Difficulty 6. All affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7.
If you succeed, the targets will keep their full attention focused on you for Contested Outcome in Rounds. They will automatically fail any rolls related to noticing anything other than you.
If you pass from their perception and they are unable to pursue you, the Effect ends. If they can follow you, they must do so for 2 Rounds or the Effect will end. The Effect will continue even if violence occurs nearby or if your target is Injured. It does end if the target takes Damage from a source other than you.
This does not affect the target’s opinion of you or their mood, and they may take any Actions while affected (including attacking), as long as that action centers on you. Fascinated targets cannot Concentrate.
You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.
You may Exert your mind to compel a Fascinated target to begin moving towards you.

Your Action comes directly before theirs in Initiative, and all rolls are made with your stats. You may opt to utilize your Action to "help" your host, allowing them to use your dice pool for their chosen Action.

The "Reaper" Assault Helmet is the signature piece of the Future Soldier's arsenal. It has a sleek, design and is made of a mysterious matte-metallic alloy. The wearer's face is exposed normally, but when a battle begins, a blue holographic visor flickers to life in front of the eyes. This HUD contains information about the soldier's ammunition and shield status, but more significantly can detect enemy combatants. Anyone nearby who is holding a weapon is painted with a red dot that follows them in real time. This allows the Future Soldier to fire at painted targets in the dark, detect ambushes lurking around corners, and grants an overall tactical advantage.
