Description
Conversation often turns to talk of sleep and dreams around Mildred. It's fine. She's happy to mention her own pain around sleeping, and it's nice to know that she's not alone. Dreams and the mind are personal, yes, but Mildred is a trustworthy person. There's nothing wrong with others seeing that and wanting to confide. So she knows where the person she speaks to sleeps. She knows their dreams and desires, and parts of their mind that refuses to heal. She knows if they are being influenced by something supernatural, like she is trapped in this dream. There's nothing wrong with that. There shouldn't be anything wrong with that
So why does it hurt so much? Every time, it feels like she's giving up part of her soul.
System
Exert your Mind, choose a Sapient target within Arm's Reach and spend 1 Minute examining them. At the end of the cast time roll Charisma + Influence Difficulty 6. The quality of the information you receive depends on your Outcome, and the nature of the information depends on the Enhancements you have chosen.
The number of information-revealing Enhancements attached to this power is limited to 2 for Novice characters, 4 for Seasoned characters, and 7 for Veteran characters. You may still take any number of other, non-informational enhancements.
Enhancements
- Diagnostic (Determine any medical or physiological issues they have, as well as their species and a general overview of their biology.)
- Dream-Seeker (You learn where the target sleeps, how long they tend to sleep each night, whether or not they have nightmares, and what their nightmares tend to be about.)
- Species (You learn what the target's species is called, as well as some basic facts about it.)
- Lucifer (You learn a hidden desire of the target.)
Drawbacks

(The information you gather is made public. The target and those around will know that it has been revealed. Usually this means the target speaks the information aloud, but other flavors are possible.)
- Method of Reveal - spoken
- Conversationalist (You must actively converse with the individual in question for one minute in order to gather any information.)
- Traumatic (You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.)
