As Zephyren taps on the fire glyph, a flame sparks to life and hovers in the palm of his hand. The next movements are ripped straight from AT:LA. The fire doesn't touch close enough to his skin to burn, and it grows until Zephyren shoves it towards his target.
On fireplace size:
Zephyren imagines a fireplace would be 48" x 36", but he wouldn't know because he's never needed one until coming to Canada.
On fires:
Since when did he like fires so much? He isn't sure; the flickering orange glow just beckons and mesmerizes the longer he looks, and Caliose has once pointed out that the reflection turns his irises a bright amber orange from the usual dark brown. If he didn't know better he'd think he was born for this. It'll be his making and his ruin. He knows it. If only he could be immune, but he also wonders if that would cause him to lose any sense of warmth completely. As much as he doesn't mind right now, he gets an inkling he'd regret it soon enough.
On spellcasting:
Recently Zephyren watched ATLA, and he was incredibly inspired by the firebenders, colonialism and genocide aside. The moveset was similar to certain martial arts he had briefly learned, and he's sure that if he started practicing again he could master it someday. For once this is something where Zephyren would consider "looking cool".

Sycamore coughs up a small haze of orange and green that smells like woodsmoke. Their eyes water slightly from the sudden choked feeling, but heat comes in the same moment, enough to evaporate the tears into a colored haze of their own. If they could feel pain, it would certainly come here, but all pain has been replaced by "encouragement." Before the flames are directed, they run briefly along the deeper gashes and wrinkles in Syc's scarred flesh. They are the same orange and bright green as the haze, and seem to burn with conviction and a hint of malice if they get to burn bright enough.
Syc's preferred vape, Elfbars, were recently made illegal for marketing to children with flashy packaging and sweet flavors. Similar products got the same treatment, but that nicotine fix was important, dammit. They resulted to cigarettes, getting used to the burnt taste quicker than expected. This ability was discovered in a bout of "can't find my lighter!" frustration, throwing the cig onto the carpet and lighting it in the process. That carpet will never be the same, and is partially covered by another rug now. The way this gift manifested is likely also due to the last job Syc had ending in being blown up by another teammate, losing their leg and covering their left side with burn scars.

The pyro points a laser pointer towards a target, and a cat-sized-and-shaped fire springs into life, very clearly attracted to the laser. This flame cat can also be shaped from existing fires. While the pointer is active it remains in the shape of a cat, pouncing towards the little red dot. When the laser pointer is not active, the flames return to normal.
