(This Effect is obviously Alien when used. It is clear that you are communicating with the target. You must actively and obviously be using a mirror.)

Nathan, with their implement, exhales onto the mirror, escorting the reflection that once occupied the mirror to do so once more, possessing it. The mirror fogs before it coalesces into the smoky form of the deceased whose speech sounds particularly ethereal.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their mirror that they once used. You must actively and obviously use a mirror to activate this Effect.

The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

While active and speaking to a single individual, you may choose to use glib tongue. When you do, anything you say to them (even gibberish) will be exactly what they want to hear. You gain no understanding of what that might be.

Whenever you encounter a Language you could commune in with this Effect, you immediately understand which language it is, the dialect, region, and other details about it.

You gain the following benefits as long as you succeed on a Difficulty 8 Intellect + Culture roll.

This also includes understanding any recorded communications from the relevant targets, including writings, scent trails, etc.

Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Lost Tentacle: In the binding of such a beast and his severed limb, so too did come the ability to whisper into the mind of man.

Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Wrath of the Sea: If a land-dweller disrespects a creature of the sea, you must roll Self-Control or attempt to take vengeance.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. Dead targets must have died within the past week, and you must have their remains in your possession.

The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
