(This Effect is obviously Alien when used. It is clear that you are communicating with the target. You must actively and obviously be using a mirror.)

Nathan, with their implement, exhales onto the mirror, escorting the reflection that once occupied the mirror to do so once more, possessing it. The mirror fogs before it coalesces into the smoky form of the deceased whose speech sounds particularly ethereal.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their mirror that they once used. You must actively and obviously use a mirror to activate this Effect.

The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

This knowledge of this gift instructed him to perform a ritual involving cutting open his tongue and pouring an unknown black liquid on the wounds.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their belonging. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.

The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

While active and speaking to a single individual, you may choose to use glib tongue. When you do, anything you say to them (even gibberish) will be exactly what they want to hear. You gain no understanding of what that might be.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see seeing your tongue turn into a green tentacle with a mouth on the end come out of your mouth, and begin speaking in the voice of the deceased.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within arm's reach. For dead targets, you must possess their True Name.

The target can communicate in your language for the next hour.

Communicating with a being cannot directly damage your Mind or cause Injury. All rolls to resist Effects that rely on communicating with you are made at -1 Difficulty.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see you channel the ghost as your hair stands on end, you make cracking noises, your movements turn jerky, and your appearance changes to match the ghost.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
  • Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
