Subdue the Demon "急急如律令!"
Nathan presents the ling pai, a carved token with rounded top and leveled bottom, to the target and borrows the prestige of a higher heavenly official, decreeing a command with absolute authority, perhaps being possessed by something more for but a brief moment, or perhaps not.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Creature within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use a ling pai to activate this Effect.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow. All other Creatures which are the same species as your target will also be compelled to follow commands that you issue if they are within arm's reach when the command is given.
Your commands can be complex and multi-layered, though they must still be specific. You can make them endanger themselves or otherwise go against their self-preservation instincts. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
If you use this Effect on the same Creature two days in a row, the effect lasts indefinitely.
- Your commands must be directly communicated to your target in some way, though this does not require a shared language.
- If targeting a Sapient target that counts as a Creature due to an Effect, you must succeed a contested Mind roll. You roll at Difficulty 6, and the target rolls at Difficulty 8.
- Targets with Body ratings higher than 10 require a Charisma + Animals roll resisted by the target’s Body. Kaiju and environment-scale targets are immune.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.

Charlatans

Nowadays you can't go a day without some phony prophet trying to peddle their wares to you.
Driven by the increased interest in the supernatural, charlatans from palm readers to televangelists are everywhere. And while the vast majority of witches, psychics, magicians, hypnotists, cures, potions, faith healers, and clairvoyants are complete fakes, they do make a living.
As the saying goes, "it's easier for an actor to make it in alternative medicine than Hollywood."
Most people scoff at these clearly-phony supernatural services, yet those same people often buy into at least one scam.
The most dangerous charlatans are the self-styled monster hunters who carry a mall-ninja arsenal and guns with silver bullets. Most have never encountered anything supernatural and do absolutely nothing besides burn some sage and patrol the area for a night or two. Even so, those who are superstitious, fearful, or desperate enough will hire them to solve the problems they simply don't understand. In some cases with disastrous results.
For Contractors, charlatans are red herrings and obstacles. Clumsy fakes that conjure a smokescreen of misinformation and escalate the situations they're in.

Animal Whisperer
Mae kneel down and with a gentle eye, they would offer a treat for the animal and touch their head to connect Mae's mind with the animal mind. Her eye roll backwards and start to mumbling. Afterward Mae would feel exhausted and sweat roll down her forehead and cough up some blood.
Exert your Mind and spend a Free Action. Select a Non-Alien Creature within arm's reach.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow.

The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed. You must maintain Concentration while your commands are being carried out, or the effect will end prematurely.
- All commands can be issued as a Free Action, not just the initial activation.
- Your commands must be directly communicated to your target in some way, though this does not require a shared language.
- If targeting a Sapient target that counts as a Creature due to an Effect, you must succeed a contested Mind roll. You roll at Difficulty 6, and the target rolls at Difficulty 8.

By My Blood
The one using this rapidly flips through the book ending up on a specific page they then begin to rapidly read through the pages of the book and begins to spout off in an occult language, they then begin to vomit forth an ocean of Black blood with the consistency of tar covering the ground up to twenty feet away if this blood comes in contact with undead it then begins climbing up the legs of undead continuing on to the head it the begins to seep into the eye sockets, head or whatever is left of it on the undead, while they are under the control of this effect a tar like substance slowly leaks out of any wounds or holes that the undead suffers as well as the eye sockets or head.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend an Action. Select a Non-Sapient, Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless used on undead.
For the next day, you may issue specific commands to your target which they will be compelled to follow. All other Non-Sapient, Animate targets which are the same species as your target will also be compelled to follow commands that you issue if they are within 20 feet when the command is given.
Your commands can be complex and multi-layered, though they must still be specific. You can make them endanger themselves or otherwise go against their self-preservation instincts. The effects of the command will fade after a day has passed.
If you use this Effect on the same Creature two days in a row, the effect lasts indefinitely.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see The user vomits forth a large amount of blood.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
- When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
- Exhaustion penalties and duration stack. If you activate this Effect or another Effect with Exhaustion, your penalty will worsen, and the duration is increased by one hour.
- The Injury received from activating this Effect heals in 1 day and cannot be prevented or prematurely healed by any means.
- Your commands must be directly communicated to your target in some way, though this does not require a shared language.
