Spiraling runic shapes lift from the pages of History in Blood and surround the user's hands and arms. As soon as fingers are laid upon the flesh of a willing participant, it begins to roil and split. Runes are written across the target's skin, similar in nature to a particular cursed witch. The target can feel something crawling about their body, a coldness that rustles in the back of their mind, before their form is improved by the ritual.
Generally, these improvements are marked by a wound that never wants to close and must be bandaged. These wounds often take the form of runic symbols, strange and supernatural in origin, though their meanings are esoteric and unknown.
Lilith has spent a great amount of time researching various blood rituals of cultures all around the world. One book in particular has been a fantastic aid in developing her rituals. Glowing symbols form over the target with the location and colour determined by the type of augment (zippy would be on the legs, maws and claws would be on the arms and other unarmed weapon locations). the symbols settle on the target then vanish, whenever the augment is used symbols glow on the area (very slight glow),
.if the augments "Implanted tool" or "Pouch" are used they take the form of magical symbols e.g. implanted tool (clock) could be a symbol you activate to see a digital clock in your field of vision while Pouch could be a location on your body that when activated would let you reach into your self and pull out items you have stored (same mechanics as normal).
.sometimes a sigil might not be visible during its use if it is counter-intuitive e.g. an augmentation for stealth would not glow, an augmentation that helps with persuading people also wouldn't be very obvious maybe a slight glow in the eyes.

Through the reflective surface, Nathan invites a specific damned spirit, commonly with an offerring of some sort, bearing the appalling appearance of their particular death, squirming into his body, gifting his reflection a misshapen conjoined ghost which lends its capabilities.
The possessor of the spirit can always see their disturbing form reflected.
Spirit possession is practiced by spirit mediums, which has a deity who is invited to take over the their body, granting noticeable alterations to the practitioner. This capability stems from the nature of the mediums, who if compared to vessels are unfilled unlike most adults. This grants them space that deities can occupy.
Nathan cannot do that, he does not have the reach to even commune with a deity, let alone invite their presence but with part of his hun as a reflection, he can replicate some aspects of this effect, calling upon the dead, or even only parts of them. After the occupation is complete, then the real work can be done, transference.

Evolution is funny, when transcending humanity with evolution shackled by an ancient curse one has to remember that you don't get many chances at getting it right. Unless you're Lucas. Wrestling with his genetics and his curse simultaneously seems to have produced an odd clash, and it manifests in the deliberate vitae control he has developed in order to create horrifying but effective mutations for almost any given situation. Each taking the form of bulbous red and black distended appendages or alterations to his form, making his already unfortunate countenance far worse.
