It has been the work of the Garuhl to heal the world since the world produced life. Using the natural medicine of the earth, Carter can channel Gaia's blessing to heal.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 minute. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must use up hand full of herbs in order to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Brawn + Alertness at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain.
You extend your arm towards the targeted area; muffled screams can be heard from those in the blast radius shortly before a torrent of wraith-like phoenixes and… a certain friend of yours… breaks through the ground and radiate outward, bursting into ectoplasm and gnashing and clawing at whatever is caught in their wake.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location within 40 feet. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma. The area within 25 feet of the chosen Location immediately and obviously becomes imminently dangerous. Roll Intellect + Investigation at Difficulty 6. Targets inside the radius may attempt an appropriate Reaction at GM’s discretion. Finding a physical barrier to use as cover will cut total Damage taken in half (applies after Reaction roll but before Armor).
If the Outcome is positive, your blast hits everything within 25 feet of the chosen Location with Damage equal to your Outcome + 4.
If you successfully hit your target, the value of any Armor they are wearing is reduced by 2. For material armor, this penalty lasts until it is repaired. For intrinsic armor, it lasts until the end of Combat and any relevant wound is healed.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see the mental anguish from the piercing wails and the haunting visages as they burst from the ground.
Edgar bites into flesh or bone, typically devouring the heart, tongue, eyes, & brain in the first sitting. Memories flood the ghoul, causing his eyes to flicker - occasionally, these cast-off memories can be coalesced enough to re-create a fragment of the person's personality - this is an unpleasant fate, as the victim essentially becomes a powerless voice in the mind of the ravenous Ghoul for the duration. Only Edgar can hear this personality fragment, though he can converse with it if desired, effectively talking to himself.
Once consumed, the Ghoul can summon up these voices from the past any time thereafter, the memories lying otherwise dormant.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Dead target within 50 feet. For dead targets, you must possess their flesh, having eaten a portion of them in the past.

Harold Polk’s Linguistic Espionage Mastery is a unique fusion of his perfect memory and deep understanding of Speech Act Theory, allowing him to communicate in any language with native fluency and cultural precision. Through his flawless recall, Harold has accumulated vast stores of linguistic patterns, dialects, and subtleties, giving him an intuitive grasp of each language’s nuances. He doesn’t merely translate words; he understands their intent, context, and hidden meaning, slipping into conversations as though he were born to each language he speaks.
With Speech Act Theory, Harold imbues his words with layers of meaning and influence, embedding subtle cues to guide others’ perceptions or actions.
