You can commit to a superhuman jump.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 60 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically.
You jump to the chosen location. If jumping blind or landing precariously, must roll Dexterity + Athletics to land safely. You will never take fall Damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
Cassie can project his less destructive aura above her more destructive one, allowing for non aggressive physical contact for a time.
While active, Invert and Explode & Inversion touch are nullified unless the barrier is broken.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Roll Intellect + Athletics at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around yourself, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
The barrier will fall after two hours, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is a light static effect around them. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
Their body is shaped similarly to that of a sea snake, being elongated and covered in blue scales. At the end of their body is a large tail fin. Their skin is covered in light blue scales, and their torso is humanoid, with two arms, with hands are humanoid but have only four fingers with claw-like ends. Their face is humanoid but features fish-like attributes, including an anglerfish bulb on their forehead, fin-like appendages on their head, a fish-like mouth, and a second, smaller pair of eyes situated above the first pair.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You are permanently and visibly transformed: Sea Naga. You are considered to be a Sapient, Living being when targeted. Your Dexterity is increased by 1 and your Perception is increased by 1.
While in Deep ocean, heat, cold, pressure, and other atmospheric hazards do not affect you, and dangerous local flora and fauna will not bother you unless you give them a reason.
Your appendages can reach an additional 30 feet.
Your body provides you with the functionality of night vision. If used to attack, these "tools" use the same stats as a small knife.
You cannot be mistaken for a normal human. You cannot always use standard human clothes, equipment, vehicles, and facilities, and when you can, you suffer an increased Difficulty.
The Severity of any Injury caused by evil, corrupted, or dark aligned weapons.(especially including weapons of Abyssal amethyst) is increased by 2.
Gundar takes out his hammer and tools out and begins working the object(s) in-front of him, he then leaves it better than before.
Exert your Mind and spend 1 Action. Select a non-Alien Device within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use Gundar's Hammer to activate this Effect. Cannot be used to improve Armor.
Lasts the next two hours. Your target receives 2 extra dice to all actions taken for its intended use. Attacking with an upgraded weapon grants +2 Weapon Damage instead of additional dice.
Kenneth opens his briefcase, taking out a scalpel. He takes a moment to carve into his face, and slice off the outer layer of skin to it - it cleanly comes off, there is no blood, and this is a practiced motion.
Another face simply replaces the empty spot.
The appearance is a vague facsimile to somebody he has killed in the past. These are, regrettably, organically sourced. Each appearance he dons, is a person he himself has killed.
This is not a gift recieved from The Contracts, this is a baseline power. The character himself is some form of changeling - not adhering to any mainline folklore archetype. Consider this power as the character being an attempted body-double, he is the replacement of somebody, and so he takes their identity.
The removed face will, quickly, cease to exist within the span of a few minutes.
Any identity utilized is an identity assumed to have been, at one point, 'replaced', 'misplaced', or blatantly killed. As this character is an amnesiac with a slowly unraveling history, I might admittedly ass-pull a disguise. Important aliases will be listed on the 'stock' page.
Most importantly of all, Kenneth tries to embody the identity he uses. It would be an insult to the deceased if they are simply forgotten about, and their identities paved over. Kenneth, for the most part, does not remember anything about these people, simply supernaturally embodying them.
Spend a minute.
You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts for two hours, or you may end it early at will.
The new appearance may have a different sex, age, and race to your own, and you may alter height by up to a foot and your weight by 50%. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You cannot alter your clothes. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.
You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Kenneth taking a scalpel to his face, cleanly cutting it off, rolling it up, placing it in the briefcase, having his identity simply change before you, and perfectly blending in like nothing happened.
This Gift's Cost is capped at 2 and cannot be increased further.
This Effect ends if you take an Injury or are stunned or incapacitated.
He seems to not even notice the fact that theres a cannon strapped to his back, even if he did i doubt he cares
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Brawn rating is increased by 0. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).
You also gain the following effects:
The time-twister spins a dial on one of her watches, slowing time for everyone but her and one other person.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch or clock to activate this Effect.
Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
While using this Effect, you may carry one other being without affecting your Encumbrance, so long as you maintain contact with them for the duration and they consent or are grappled.
By focusing, the Thief may shroud their hands in shadowy tendrils that seek nearby objects like static-charged hairs. They cast themselves across any surface the Thief touches, acting as anchors that allow the Thief to scale even the sheerest walls.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You may move easily and without a roll in any of the following situations. Lasts 2 hours.
The mystic can meld their aura with another, allowing them to superimpose their being, physical and mental, into a target. Observers witness the mystic fading and entering their target's body as wisps of smoke, leaving no trace of their own body behind.
While inside, they can control their target's actions. Affected targets have no memory of the experience.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend an Action. Select a Living or Sapient target within arm's reach. Roll Intellect + Occult at Difficulty 6. The target may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you possess your target for the Contested Outcome in minutes. The target has no control over their body or actions, and they are functionally unconscious through the entire possession, retaining no memory other than any Traumas they might obtain.
You do not leave your original body behind when you possess a target. When a possession ends, your original body will reappear at the host body’s same location. You may spend an Action to end the possession early.
Stats: During the possession, you use the host body’s Body rating, but your own Mind rating. Any rolls you make use the host body’s Brawn, Dexterity, and Perception but your own Charisma, Intellect, and Abilities. You gain the effects of any physical Assets and Liabilities they have. You cannot read the target’s mind or memories.
Gifts: You have access to and can use any of your own Powers which are intrinsic to your biology or physical body. You cannot access any Powers or other supernatural effects which the target has, unless they are intrinsic to the target’s biology or physical body.
Death: If the host body is killed or destroyed while you are still possessing it, you will die along with it.
Eviction: If you attempt to force your host to take actions which would violate one of their Limits or their instinct for self-preservation, they may resist by rolling Mind. If their Outcome is higher than or equal to the contested Outcome, the possession ends and you are evicted from their body.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
