Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within arm's reach. This Effect cannot be used unless Must be used right after angel travel. Roll Brawn + Brawl at Difficulty 6. The target may contest by Defending or Dodging.
If you succeed, your target will be pushed or pulled towards a surface within arm's reach and is restricted at that location by a physical, tangible binding. They cannot move to a new location, and, if your Contested Outcome was greater than their Brawn, they are encased and cannot take any physical Actions other than attempting to escape until they break free.
The target may spend an Action and roll Brawn or Dexterity + Athletics to attempt to break free. They must accumulate a total Outcome equal to or greater than the original Contested Outcome to escape. Damage to the binding from outside sources also contributes.
You may use this Effect as a Reaction to contest any physical Action a target is taking. Excess Outcome does not restrict the target. This interrupts Concentration.
If your target does not escape within 3 Rounds, they cannot ever free themselves and must be rescued.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation will almost certainly be disturbed to see Teleports a person back in time and they grow old fast..
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Looks like code/disfigured.
Well, clearly Bobbi had either gotten her dosage way too low, or her tranquilisers simply didn't work against boars when the animal in question was a spectral apparition of an Etruscan idol dated 500-600 BCE. Probably didn't help that it was the size of a family sedan either.
Bobbi tried very hard to ignore the quaking in her legs as the monstrous thing ran at her. This was just like that time she'd got a glancing blow with that Medi-Dart vaccine on that bull, right? It had raged and charged at her headlong just like this, but the pain of the needle and the drugs in its system had made its movements sloppy and predictable.
She just needed to follow up and then dive to one side, just like that. Only difference being she wasn't getting back up if she fucked this up.
Deep inhale. Tighten the stock a little more against your shoulder. Now-
In a lightning-fast blur her free hand had plucked another dart from the pouch at her waist, and a moment later it had embedded itself in the ghostly boar's head in such a way that it almost seemed to slow mid-charge -- its feet kicking up dust as they ground against the hard earth and granting Bobbi barely enough time to roll to the side.
Holy shit, it worked!
Its a lil weird, but Crossbows can either be tied to Firearm Mastery or Archery Mastery, since they are affected by both (+2 to Firearm rolls, and +2 to rolls with Crossbows) - and I'd rather have it tied to Firearm Mastery when it comes to this character
I don't plan on abusing this for any stupid stuff like taking both Gifts to get +4 to rolls (pretty sure that wouldn't work anyway), I'm picking flavour over actual mechanical strength. I think it'd make more sense for my character to know how to use crossbows and guns rather than crossbows and bows (and since Archery Mastery gets the Quick Fingers enhancement for free, I'm actually missing out on a Gift point to do this)
You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with crossbows.
You receive +2 dice to all rolls using crossbows. Reloading is a Free Action, and drawing your weapon does not require a Quick Action as long as it is on your person.
You also gain the following effects:
These extra abilities from Aria's shooting expertise, were gained due to the various missions that her mistress sent her on... missions requiring ultimate skill, stealth and awareness.
You gain the following benefits as long as engaged in combat with Long bow.
You receive +2 dice to all rolls using Long bow. Reloading is a Free Action, and drawing your weapon does not require a Quick Action as long as it is on your person.
You also gain the following effects:
Keep calm, and you can cleanse yourself.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You get +2 dice to any Body resistance rolls you make. You also gain the following effects:

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a single Human target or a Location within 300 feet. If you select a Location, all targets within 300 feet within 20 feet of it, besides yourself, are affected. Roll Charisma + Influence Difficulty 6. Affected targets may resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 7. If they are incapacitated or unconscious, they fail automatically.
If your Contested Outcome is positive, affected targets takes 1 point of Mind Damage and gains a Trauma of the GM's choice.
This Trauma may be removed by Effects or mundane therapy, as normal. Affected targets are aware that they are being attacked and can generally tell who did it.
Spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 375 feet away horizontally or 75 feet away vertically.
You jump to the chosen location. If the landing is precarious, the GM may call for a roll to land safely. You will never take fall damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
You may opt to trade your free movement for a Super Leap if you are jumping less than 50 feet or if you are closing a gap to an opponent and spend your Action on an attack.
You may activate this Effect while in free-fall, as long as your target Location is a surface on which you can land. You are immune to fall damage.
By focusing and whispering a prayer under their breath, the priest may invoke their god to protect those who have good works left to do.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. This Effect cannot be used unless the target is a living human. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour. Roll Charisma + Occult at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome +2 Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
This Effect is not obvious, and the only sign you are using an Effect is you whispering a prayer under your breath. If someone suspects that an Effect was used, they must roll Perception + Alertness, Difficulty 8 to pick up on your Tell.
While transformed, the werewolf's toughened hide provides protection from all manner of attacks, except silver.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are in werewolf form.
You have 4, which reduces incoming damage from all sources of physical attack except silver. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
Any Injury received from Damage that was reduced by this Armor is considered Makeshift Stabilized and will not degrade further, and any Battle Scar caused by them is reduced by 1 level. You may attempt a single Proper Stabilization on such Injuries.
The Vampire is able to turn one of their victims into a lesser vampire, a pale shadow of a full creature of the night but useful nonetheless. Having drained and killed their target, the Vampire performs a brief ritualistic bloodletting, wherein they spill their own blood into the target's mouth, forcing them to drink, and bonding them together as child and sire.
Shortly afterwards, the fledgling vampire will rise from death, hungry for blood and eager to serve.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach that has died within the last hour. This Effect cannot be used unless you drained the target's blood while they were still alive.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion. The raised creature must consume flesh every day or it will die again.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
The Witch wiggles her fingers at her broomstick, and it leaps from the ground with a whoosh of wind. She may then hop on and fly around. It’s so fun, she often finds herself cackling uncontrollably.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a broom to activate this Effect. This Effect remains active for two hours.
As long as you are conscious, you are immune to falling Damage and may hover in place mid-air. Additionally, you may glide as you fall, traveling 35 feet horizontally for every 10 feet you fall. While gliding, you fall at a minimum speed of 10 feet per Round.
You may ascend into the air and fly using your mind. Your Free Movement is Mind x5 feet/Round, including vertically. You cannot Dash. When sprinting, roll Mind and add your rating in Mind plus 1 to the outcome, multiply by 5 to find your sprint speed. Your encumbrance limit is 10 lbs per point of Mind.
You are subject to the following effects while gliding or flying:
While transformed, the Werewolf can leap great distances, climbing structures and closing the gap to their prey.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Location which is at most 60 feet away horizontally or 15 feet away vertically. This Effect cannot be used unless you are in werewolf form.
You jump to the chosen location. If jumping blind or landing precariously, must roll Dexterity + Athletics to land safely. You will never take fall Damage from successfully landing a jump made with this Effect.
You may opt to trade your free movement for a Super Leap if you are jumping less than 50 feet or if you are closing a gap to an opponent and spend your Action on an attack.
