Haerin has developed a mastery of weapons with his soul and of the souls of others. The weapons he wields now glow a pitch-black darkness as they are coated in his soul's darkness, seemingly refusing to leave his hands. "Your fight is not over; you cannot drop us," it murmurs and echoes constantly in his mind.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with melee weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls with melee weapons. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using melee weapons.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Mercy? How revolting. when in a position to, roll self control, to show mercy, release or otherwise "let live" another combatant. and Nightmares of Angelo Yun and his memories.
You also gain the following effects:
- Grip Discipline: You cannot be disarmed against your will by Minor, Major, or Severe Battle Scars, physical Actions, environmental conditions, botches, or Effects. Your weapon may still be destroyed.
- Quick Draw: You may draw and equip yourself with any melee weapon on your person or within arm’s reach as a Free Action, as long as it is not being wielded by someone else.
- Sheathing the Sword: When you would Clash with an opponent, before the dice are rolled, you may opt to have both sides deal full damage. If you do, your attack roll is at -2 Difficulty.
- Two Swords are better than One: If you are wielding more than one melee weapon, you may Attack with all using the highest Weapon Damage, plus 1 for each additional weapon. If you reserve a weapon, any Clash or Defend roll you make is -1 Difficulty, and mob penalties are ignored. Maximum +5 Damage from bonus weapons.
- Whirlwind: You may Exert your Mind to apply your next attack to any number of targets who are within melee range.

The Sons of Salem is a loosely-organized conservative populist movement in the United States that preaches violent opposition to anything they perceive as witchcraft, demonic, or monstrous.
Blowhard podcaster Ted Gundy and former general of the mercenary group “Hognose,” Roland Rush, founded the movement in 2010 after a series of violent werewolf attacks and unexplained, supernatural murders in Tennessee. Memberships grew quickly, stoked by Ted’s fiery doomsday rhetoric on his podcast "Truth Seekers" and the aspiration of the masculine power embodied by Roland.
Although they speak of duty, honor, and maintaining the “natural order” of things, the Sons of Salem are driven by fear. They collect guns and appear at protests en-masse as a way of easing the all-consuming terror of their powerlessness. At the same time, they have conditioned themselves to respond to fear with “strength” (read: violence).

- Bullet Parry: You may React to and Defend against firearms and other projectiles with Fishing equipment.
- Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.

Though no matter how impressive his bare knuckle boxing abilities might be they pale in comparison with Tommy's mastery with simple light blades, the precise slashes rip through flesh cloth and padding alike, in a clash of blades his usually comes out on top be it due to grievous injury to the other party or impeccable showmanship that ends with an embarrassed, disarmed and flustered opponent.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Knives.
Your attacks with Knives deal +1 Bonus Damage. Armor is fully effective against this damage.
You also gain the following effects:
- Blade Breaker: If you successfully Defend against a melee attack or if an opponent is unsuccessful at Defending against your melee attack, you may break your opponent's weapon.
- Fancy Footwork: You may move your full Dash distance and attack with your Melee weapon in the same Round without penalty. You may also split your movement before and after your attack.
- Reminder: Bonus Damage stacks with Weapon Damage, but does not stack with any other Bonus Damage. Instead, the highest Bonus Damage is used.
Swing of the Hammer

You also gain the following effects:
- Heavy Strikes: If you are attacking with a blunt weapon, if your attack causes an Injury you may choose to knock the target down and back 15 feet. Standing up is typically a Quick Action.
Tranquility
A heroes blade, right and true.
A true long sword in form, Tranquility is Odessa's answer to those who refuse to embrace peace by granting them the final one. Made of light blue metal and with a flared black hilt set with a glittering blue gemstone, this sword embodies the beauty and menace that is to be expected of a legendary sword. Those chosen by the blade, and pure of heart, can wield it with exceptional speed and grace, deflecting bullets and all other manners of evils from the air as easily as some draw breath.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with Swords.
+2 dice to all rolls with Swords. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using Swords.
Possession of this Power grants the following Trauma at all times: Heroes Heart: Roll mind to go along with any plan involving harming innocents.
You also gain the following effects:
- Point Control: Called Shots that you attempt only require a Contested Outcome of 2 for small targets and 4 for tiny targets.
- Finesse: When Attacking a single being, you may limit the Severity of any Injury you inflict or determine a maximum Wound Level, including Incapacitated. You may also choose to make this Injury properly or improperly stabilized, or to keep it unstabilized. If you would successfully incapacitate a target, you may opt to knock them out for one hour instead of having them suffer an Injury.

The Stain
Yes it's not nice to look at but you know, it is what it is
Somehow, some sort of fungus has been introduced into this character's skin. It is disgusting to look at by all means as these stains move around as if it was their personal habitat, being perfectly looked at from the outside.
Now however it seems that this fungus is particularly protective of their habitat, and will work hard to mend any damage caused to it.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Any Injury you receive heals quickly, reducing its Severity by one level each day, starting once it becomes stabilized. Battle Scars caused by your Injuries will remain.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: This character's skin is populated by strange black stains. These stains move at their own will as if they were live beings underneath this character's skin..

The ninja is a master of a wide variety of martial weapons. They kill quickly and quietly.
You gain the following benefits as long as you are engaged in combat with melee ninja weapons.
+2 dice to all rolls with melee ninja weapons. You may Defend against firearm attacks from any range using melee ninja weapons.
You also gain the following effects:
- Assassin: If your attack Injures your target, they cannot make a sound, even incidentally, for a single Round. Even the sound of their body and equipment dropping to the ground is silenced.
- Falling Crane Strike: If you move and then make a successful attack against a target closer than the full distance you could have moved, you may choose to travel the excess movement in a straight line beyond the target.
