DEATH GRIP EXPERIMENTATION: [Ć̵͍O̷̯͝N̸͔̈S̶̲̄T̷̝̓R̷͕̓I̴̪͗C̸̳̒T̴̪̃Ó̷͎R̶̳̂]

1
(Anyone who witnesses you activate this Effect or for its duration is very likely to be disturbed to see blood-soaked bandages twisting and slithering like monstrous tendrils. You must actively and obviously be using up a pint of blood. You must obviously use this Artifact to activate this Effect. When activating this Effect, this Artifact is obviously Alien and cannot be concealed under your clothes or similar.)

The bandages become alive as new blood is infused with the existing blood within, extending and twisting out into a set of four distinct strands. They operate like tendrils that slither and stretch, and can be used to pull, wrap, and crush things using the user's own strength.

Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action. You must use up a pint of blood in order to activate this Effect.

You gain 4 additional limbs that function as standard human arms and hands. Lasts two hours.

Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).

Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.

Your appendage is capable of bending and squishing in normally-impossible ways. It may fit through any gap that is not water-tight and retain its functionality.

Your extra appendage can stretch to reach an additional 30 feet.

You may dedicate your extra Quick Action to contest any attempt to escape your Grapples. If you do so, you roll your full dice pool to contest and retain your Action to do anything that does not target the subject of your Grapple.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see blood-soaked bandages twisting and slithering like monstrous tendrils.

Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: T̸̫̰̓H̴̱̩̏̓Ë̶͖́̉ ̵̢͉̉T̸̼̓Ǫ̷͚̇͗R̵̠̂M̴̮͑͐E̷̙̒̏Ṇ̶̭͛Ṱ̵̙̍̍: Your sleep is plagued with horrible nightmares of torture and experimentation. At the start of each Contract and each time you fall asleep, make a Self-Control roll. If you fail, you take one Mind damage.. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.

Your Extra Appendage is incapable of fine object manipulation.

  • You may stretch, retract, or move your limbs 30 feet once per Round.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.

Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action. Whenever you fail or botch a Trauma or Self-Control roll, you must activate this Effect.

You transform into a Skinless Sarkic Monstrosity for 3 minutes. You have access to all of your Powers while you are a Skinless Sarkic Monstrosity, and you can use your equipment. Your Battle Scars, Injuries, and physical Liabilities are carried over between forms. Reverting from your Alternate Form cannot cause your existing Injuries to kill you. Instead, you remain Incapacitated.

While transformed, your Brawn is increased by 2 and your Dexterity is increased by 2. You do not suffer any Stress while transformed.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see Saša's skin being ripped apart from the inside out and their skull cracking open to reveal glowing lumps.

While transformed, you automatically fail any Mind roll to resist an impulse and suffer -3 dice on all other Mind rolls.

  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • When activating this Effect due to a failed Trauma or Self-Control roll, you must still pay the activation cost.
  • Attribute bonuses from multiple sources do not stack. Instead the highest bonus is used.

There is countless amount of scars inflicted upon the world. Some of them are deep - major historical figures that wage wars of conquests and forge empires, events that change course of history. Some of them can hardly be called scars at all - animals, humans and products of their activity, such as languages, texts, machinery, as well as the dead.

Rite of Secret Histories is a ritual which allows the one performing the rite to "read" said scars for an hour, though scope of this specific version of a rite is limited quite limited. This rite received it's name for it's immense help in learning what otherwise would be left in the dark - ancient texts, written in long-dead languages. Research notes, written by scholars in ciphers known only be them. Folklore, shared only verbally in uncommon languages.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate.

You may understand and communicate to Creatures as if you are fluent in a relevant language for the next ten minutes.

This also includes understanding any recorded communications from the relevant targets, including writings, scent trails, etc.

  • Communing with creatures does not grant them intellect but does allow you to converse with them.
  • When reading written communications, you get no information beyond what the writer was intending to communicate.

Len has been seeped in blood, death and war. She has seen slaughter. She has shifted as a result, become more in tune with Hades, the God of death. Len has gain the ability to store things in a private place in the land of the death, summoning up the mists of the river Styx, and reaching to them to a place only she knows.

Spend a Quick Action.

You may withdraw an item from your stash, or add an item that is within arm’s reach to your stash. You may only stash targets which are in your possession, grappled, or otherwise controlled by you.

You may store Objects in your stash, each no larger than something which could fit inside a ziploc snack bag (1 liter), and you may store up to 3 things at a time.

You may choose to equip any equipment you withdraw at no additional cost.

  • "Equip" refers to drawing a gun, putting on a piece of armor, etc. You may store or withdraw a maximum of 6 items in a given Round. Reminder: you may perform up to two Quick Actions for -2 dice each or 3 if you use up your Action, unless a different Effect grants you additional Quick Actions.
  • Containers which hold multiple things may count as a single item so long as the things within are generally packaged together. For instance, you may stash a clip full of bullets, a medical kit full of medical supplies, or a box of crackers, but you cannot stash a backpack full of miscellaneous equipment.
  • You may only attempt to store Objects which are free-standing and disconnected from other things. The use of this Effect will not allow you to sever any connections holding an Object in place.
  • The Maximum Object Size parameter is intended to roughly capture the weight / size restriction of items and isn’t intended to restrict shape. GM discretion is advised. A human being is level 4 in the Maximum Object Size parameter.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

You automatically detect all humans within 50 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.

Summon up to 3 Sapient revenant soldier at your location. They last for two hours or until they move more than 150 feet from you or are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 3 minions active at a time.

  • Initiative: Minions act directly after you in Combat starting the Round after they are summoned.
  • Combat: Minions roll 4 dice to dodge, Grapple, or make firearms Attacks. Their unarmed Attacks are melee range and deal +2 Damage.
  • Body/Mind: Minions have 5 Body. Your minions roll 3 Mind resistance dice.
  • Armor: Minions have 1 Armor.
  • Movement: Minions can move 15 feet per Round as Free Movement and double that when performing an all-out Sprint.
  • Intelligence: Minions have human-level intelligence and can speak your language. They can use equipment, Artifacts, and Consumables. However, they cannot Exert their Mind.
  • Actions: Any Perception checks they make are rolled with 3 dice. Any other roll is made with 3 dice. They can lift and haul as though they have 2 Brawn.
  • Unusual: Minions are obviously Alien to any observer.

You may end this Effect prematurely as a Free Action.

Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see shifting forms and bellowing screams of the damned.

  • Minions die if targeted with Energy Transfer (before the Effect resolves) or if an Artifact or Consumable they use would Injure them or cause them to roll Trauma.
  • When narrating disturbing content, be cognizant of your group's tone and accommodating to those who would like to "fast forward" through the description.
  • Your minions may count as additional targeting types based on their flavor. For example: Living, Computer, Creature, etc.

While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you do not have access to any of your Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.

The new appearance must have a similar sex, age, and race to your own. You cannot significantly change your height and weight. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You may change the appearance of your outfit. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.

You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.

You cannot alter the appearance of your flesh and blood.

  • While you may alter your outfit's appearance, this does not grant or store equipment. This does not allow you to change the appearance of Artifacts or conceal their Alien appearance.
  • ‘Appearance’ includes voice, bone structure, skin quality, hair length and color, eye color, muscle tone, flesh texture, and generally anything perceivable about your body.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
