This Artifact allows you to detect all nearby Wet Beings, Impure Beings, and Elementals and Lost Puddlings.

( You must actively and obviously be using up a gallon of water. You must obviously use this Artifact to activate this Effect. When activating this Effect, this Artifact is obviously Alien and cannot be concealed under your clothes or similar.)

The jacket whips back and forth, as if caught within a storm, as the wearer holds their hands out. Nearby unattended water flows towards them, forming a bubble between their hands. As the Lake Lord's eyes glow a vibrant blue, the bubble grows and glows in turn, before the wearer claps their hands together and the ritual ends. The wearer can feel the presence of the detected beings as if they were ripples on an endless, still ocean.

The Lake Lord is a being of purest water, and thus impurities are keenly clear to it. It's influence of purity only extends to its own body, however. And so the Conduit comes into play. The conduit's role is to internalize the power of the Lake Lord, then push that power outwards to affect the world.

The raincoat gifted from a mother to her child, sewn with the Lake Lord's power, created to allow Brooke to harness the power of their shared patron.

Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: holding out your hands as a large glowing bubble forms between them, them clapping them together as the bubble vanishes. This Effect cannot be used unless the Lake Lord is within 50ft of the user. You must use up a gallon of water in order to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.

You automatically detect all Wet Beings, Impure Beings, and Elementals and Lost Puddlings within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

Even if there are no Wet Beings, Impure Beings, and Elementals or Lost Puddlings within 300 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend an Action.

You automatically detect the closest of any Living Target within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense their direction and distance.

Any Living Target detected while the effect is active are “marked”. You will continue to detect them until the effect ends, no matter how far away they move. You will also continue to detect them after the effect ends, so long as they remain within 300 feet of you.

  • Any targets that are marked satisfy the line of sight requirement for targeted Effects.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a crucifix to activate this Effect.

You automatically detect all Demonic entities within 50 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

Even if there are no Demonic entities within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

  • This Effect does not satisfy the line of sight targeting requirement for other Effects.

You automatically detect all Beings imbued with divine power and Beings in dire need of help within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.

If no Beings imbued with divine power or Beings in dire need of help targets are within 300 feet of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.

Even if there are no Beings imbued with divine power or Beings in dire need of help within 300 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.

Anyone who touches this Artifact will notice it warping their mind and may drop it. If they choose to hold or use it, they immediately receive the following Trauma: A hero's duty: Roll self control to use lethal means as a first resort in combat.. If they lose possession of this Artifact, the Trauma heals over the course of the next day.
