The Zulu God is called "uSomanlda", he felt the urge to create a world and therefore he began to shape land and water. He was immensely proud of its creation, he admired the sheer beauty of hills and rivers and was captivated by the huge size of imposing mountains and vast seas. This was a gift to the Zulu people, to use as a bounty of food and security, and in turn, the Zulu people return what was given in respect and praise.
Ibutho, the warrior kin of the Zulu were blessed with the gifts of hunting and warfare, using muthi and traditonal ornaments, they have the ability to contact their ancestors for guidance.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute. Investigate an area with a radius of up to 500 feet You must actively and obviously use Traditional Beads to activate this Effect. At the end of your investigation, roll Charisma + Melee at Difficulty 6.
You learn a single specific piece of information, chosen from the following list, about the area:
You cannot investigate the same area more than once per day.
The Dragon Slayer throws a Glyph of Binding at their target, causing a set of chains made from various coloured lights to spring forth around them, holding them in place.
Use up this Stone-Carved Glyph and spend an Action to activate. Select a target within arm's reach. Roll Brawn + Occult at Difficulty 6. The target] may contest by Defending or Dodging.
If you succeed, your target will be restricted at their location by a physical, tangible binding. They can still move their arms and use Effects, but cannot move to a new location.
The binding around a target must be destroyed in order for them to break free. Breaking the binding requires a total amount of damage equal to twice the contested Outcome from the Effect activation. Damage from multiple attacks is cumulative and stacks linearly.
When an ally is about to be hit, Sketch can't look away, and a wave of energy escapes them, coalescing as a glowing green gold shield around their ally.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction to activate. Select a Animate target within 20 feet. You cannot target yourself. Roll Perception + Influence at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, you create a barrier around your target, which absorbs the next Outcome Damage. The Damage reduction from the barrier is applied before Armor, and is treated like Armor by any effects such as Armor Penetration. You may only have 1 active barrier at a time.
You must maintain Concentration while using this Effect. The barrier will fall if you are interrupted, or if it absorbs the full amount of Damage. When a barrier falls, you cannot use this Effect again for a minimum of 2 Rounds.
The cardist takes up his deck and preforms the move Sybil, creating an illusion at the chosen target.
Spend an Action. Select a target within 45 feet. You must actively and obviously use playing cards to activate this Effect. Choose an illusion to generate, which can be no larger than a briefcase.
The chosen illusion is generated at your target, and it will remain in place as long as you maintain Concentration or you choose to end it. It can be perceived by people through their sight. The illusion cannot be used as an attack. You cannot make an exact replica of an existing Animate being or Object.
Anyone who touches the illusion (or who would be able to perceive it significantly through a sense it cannot fool) realizes it is an illusion and can choose to perceive it or not at will.
The illusion will remain fixed to its initial target, and can only change locations if the initial target is mobile in some way. It may have moving parts and engage in simple, predetermined movements but cannot perform anything complex or interactive unless you maintain Concentration and “puppeteer” it.
This Gift cannot have more than 3 Drawbacks, and its Gift Cost is capped at 2.
When Inkz inks this sigil into flesh, time recoils—not halted, but denied its slow decay. The tattoo resembles a shifting ouroboros coiled around a sleeping eye, its curves etched with precise, ritualistic strokes. The lines shimmer faintly, not with magic, but with an eerie stillness—as if the skin itself has forgotten how to breathe, how to age, how to tire.
The bearer becomes a creature who walks outside the rules of mortality’s demands: no breath, no rest, no rot. Yet this stillness is not stagnation. The body can still flourish, create, and grow. Muscles can build, wounds can heal, life can form. But the creeping touch of entropy—wrinkles, exhaustion, expiration—cannot follow.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a Animate target within arm's reach. You must actively and obviously use tattoo gun to activate this Effect.
For the next week, your target does not require any sleep or air. Any attempts to age your target fail. Any roll to resist an Effect dependent on any affected requirement is made at -1 Difficulty.
You may Exert your Mind and spend an Action to give a target within arm’s reach a Battle Scar. As long as they have this scar, they benefit from this Effect.
When activating this Effect, the user lights up a joint and continues to smoke throughout the entire process, exhaling clouds of smoke that fill the air. As they approach the broken object, their demeanor is oddly focused despite the relaxed haze around them. Their actions seem haphazard and random; they use whatever is at hand—a spoon to tap components, a screwdriver twisted in mid-air, or duct tape applied in bizarre patterns. Small sparks and clicking sounds occasionally emanate from the object, indicating progress.
For 10 minutes, they continue to smoke and work, seemingly in their own world. Observers notice an almost magnetic quality to their movements, a natural ease and confidence that seem to influence the environment around them. Despite the apparent chaos, there's an inexplicable sense that the user's presence and attitude are guiding the process, making their actions seem almost deliberate. By the end, the object hums back to life, fully functional. The entire scene is a blend of confusion and amazement as witnesses see the user's unconventional yet effective repair, all while constantly consuming marijuana.
Spend 10 minutes. Select a Object within arm's reach that is no larger than an SUV. Cannot be used on Alien technology. You must use up Marijuana in order to activate this Effect. More than half the target object must be present in order to begin repairs. Roll Charisma + Crafts at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, your target is repaired back to a functional state. If you fail, you spend the full time working before realizing you cannot repair the target. If your target only requires fuel or power and is otherwise in working order, this Effect costs no Exertion, and the target is fueled/powered for the next 24 hours.
The creature's claws rip through the poor, defenseless doctor's coat, opening deep gashes in their gut. It bares its fangs to lunge for the killing blow, but the doctor looks up at the attacker. Their eyes filed not with utter terror at their imminent demise, only a look of disappointment and pity. Touched, the monster hesitates. . .
This Effect activates whenever you receive a Severity 2 or higher Injury from an attack. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Living target within 45 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Charisma + Influence at Difficulty 6. Affected targets can resist by rolling Mind at Difficulty 6.
If you succeed, for the next minute, your target will do things they otherwise wouldn’t have done, inspired by remorse for hurting such a pure soul. They will not necessarily display their emotions in an obvious way.
Actions they take will be in keeping with their character and the way they tend to deal with strong emotions. They will be unlikely to change their mind about any actions taken or decisions made until after the Effect ends.
The Scepter of Ang-Kapal is a gruesome device fashioned to look like a skeletal arm clutching a glass eye. When used, blood from the person holding is drawn into the eye where it swirls with dark energy. The eye turns to a nearby corpse and shudders, reviving the creature. The creature does not retain any of its memories or personality, but it is absolutely loyal to whoever is holding the scepter.
The Scepter of Ang Kepal has the unfortunate side effect of driving its owner mad.
Increase your sacrificial Injury's Severity by 1 and spend one minute. Select a Dead target within arm's reach with at least half its skeletal structure remaining. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
Your target rises as an Animate being. The raised creature is totally mindless, with no memory of its past life or hint of its old personality. They cannot communicate. They will follow any command you speak.
The creature lasts for eight hours or until it dies again. It is revived at full health. Any Injuries it had in life are not accounted for when determining its penalties or progression towards re-death, though they may affect its ability to perform certain actions at GM's discretion.
Raised creatures have their Abilities set to the same that they were in life. Their Charisma and Intellect are set to 1, but their Dexterity, Brawn and Perception are the same as they had in life. A raised creature cannot use any Effects.
Destroying one of your zombies requires a called shot to the head or heart. All other Injuries zombies suffer result in Battle Scars only, limiting their mobility and effectiveness in other ways.
Your revived targets deal 2 Weapon Damage with their unarmed attacks.
If you do not have a sacrificial Injury when you activate this Effect, take a new Severity-1 Injury.
The pyro points a laser pointer towards a target, and a cat-sized-and-shaped fire springs into life, very clearly attracted to the laser. This flame cat can also be shaped from existing fires. While the pointer is active it remains in the shape of a cat, pouncing towards the little red dot. When the laser pointer is not active, the flames return to normal.

Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 20 feet which has both fuel and oxygen available (if you are starting a new fire). You must actively and obviously use a laser pointer to activate this Effect.
You may start or extinguish a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace at your target. Extinguishing a fire does not cost Exertion. You may create or extinguish fires the size of a lighter or candle flame without Exerting your Mind. Your fires require fuel and oxygen in order to continue burning.
Lighting a target on fire deals 3 Damage each Round on your turn, starting in the Round after the one in which they caught fire. This Damage is reduced by Armor, but the target’s Armor rating will be shredded by any Damage dealt, destroying material Armor once it reaches 0.
You may extinguish flames as a Reaction. This does not extend to explosives.
You may spend a Free Action on your initiative move a fire as large as a fire in a residential fireplace that is within 20 feet to another location within 20 feet. You may Exert your Mind to draw a line which a fire up to twice as large as a fire in a residential fireplace cannot cross.
The mobster presents a reasoned, logical case to the target: there's a lot of dangerous folks out there, and only they can offer safety... for a price.
If they agree, they will pay the mobster a monthly fee for protection. If they stop making their payments... well, let's just say, the mobster can't be held responsible for any unsavory types that might pay them a visit.
This Effect cannot be used unless you are making a deal to exchange money for protection.
You may make an oath with a physically-present, Sapient target. Communicate the oath's terms to the target, including the requirements and penalties for each participant. If all agree to the terms, you must Exert your Mind and all participants must shake hands to seal the deal.
Record the oath as a Condition. If a party breaks the oath, the Condition ends and they suffer the oath's penalty.
When crafting your oath, you may incorporate any of the following penalties:
The target cannot be compelled to agree via a direct threat of violence, another Effect, or another oath. If you would like to use clever wording to mislead the target, you must succeed a contested Intellect + (Culture or Influence) roll.
Dazzle Glasses are advanced "black-tech" espionage gear. They can be styled as any sort sunglasses. When the wearer is recorded, they will quickly flash a non-visible laser into the recording device, destroying it after only a moment of footage is taken.
This Effect activates whenever you are recorded. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a Non-Sapient Object within 20 feet no larger than a duffel bag (35 liters). Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event. Roll Perception + Culture Difficulty 6.
If your Outcome is 4 or higher, the target will be completely destroyed and can no longer function, though it may still be repaired. If your Outcome is less than 4, the target will be partially damaged, and any attempts to use it will suffer a dice penalty equal to your Outcome.
