Vita doesn’t shoot alone anymore. Her finger pulls the trigger, but something older, wilder, and far more ancient whispers corrections over her shoulder. A pact sealed with bite marks and inked blood lets her channel the predatory instincts of the creatures she’s bonded with. Every shot isn’t just calculated—it’s ordained.
When Vita raises a firearm, faint glowing patterns—like claw marks, runes, or faint iridescent scales—flash briefly along the barrel. Her eyes flicker with a beastly gleam, echoing the color or mood of her bonded companions. The air grows unnaturally still for a heartbeat, then she fires. The projectile feels guided, veering slightly mid-air as if nudged by unseen paws, wings, or spectral horns. If she deflects an incoming strike, there's a sharp burst of animalistic noise—a hiss, a growl, a shriek—that echoes from nowhere.
Vita has never seen her Gifts as magic—they’re relationships. Contracts, favors, whispers traded in dark corners and glowing meadows. This Gift is the result of deeper synchronicity with her bonded creatures: her aim guided by predatory instinct, her reflexes enhanced by something barely contained in her skin. Whether it’s Bapha nudging her shot with unseen force, or a fae wolf’s voice growling “duck” just in time, she’s a vessel for more than human talent now.
Where bullets fail others, hers adapt. Her firearms don’t just shoot—they hunt.

"I feel like I'm fading away. Each time I get hurt, it feels as if I lose a small part of myself."
A ghostly aura that looks almost like a faded version of yourself is superimposed on your figure. It's impossible for others to see, but illuminates briefly whenever you get attacked.
The visage seems to take the brunt of any attacks and fades for a moment before materializing again whenever you get hit.
You need to live, Jacob. Keep going. Struggle. Everything is on the line, and you will do anything to get your family out of there.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
You have 4 Armor, which reduces incoming Damage. Armor from multiple sources does not stack. This Armor cannot be circumvented with Called Shots.
The user fashions debris and trash from whatever source is available to create a sturdy, but deadly whip.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target within 50 feet. You must actively and obviously use As much trash or debris that is currently available up to 50 feet to activate this Effect. Roll Dexterity + Athletics Difficulty 6. The target may contest by rolling to Dodge or Defend as a Reaction, Difficulty 6.
If the Contested Outcome is positive, the target takes that much Damage plus 4.
You may use this Effect to Defend against any melee, projectile, or firearm Attacks within range or Clash against any Attack targeted at you. Using it to Defend deals no Damage but does not cost Exertion.
Clothes may hide his massive frame, but underneath are nearly inhumanly powerful muscles that can be used to great effect on a moments notice.
You gain the following benefits at all times.
Your Brawn rating is increased by 1. You may Exert your Mind to automatically gain an Outcome of 5 on any roll that uses Brawn (cannot be used on combat rolls or Effect activations).
You also gain the following effects:
Momma Ettu calls out for Edna, a stern, mildly frustrated voice and an ethereal, transparent image of an older woman, about Ettu's age with long white hair but with sunken eyes and very clearly dead, appears in a ghostly wheelchair a few feet away. The exact wording varies, but tends to be Ettu demanding her chair, Edna refusing, then Ettu attempting to throw Edna out of her chair. If she succeeds then Ettu gets in the chair, and Edna plummets down through the ground and disappears.
Edna will take her chair back when the effect ends, with a banter like they're old friends or perhaps siblings.
Edna is a lovely woman that Ettu met during her hospital stay after her heart attack.
She ended up having to stay quite a while for rehab, and got to know a patient on her floor who turned out to be terminal.
Children at heart, they tended to prank each other with harmless tricks and gentle bullying.
Having kept her financial abundance secret, Ettu anonymously ensured her funeral was lavish, and covered the airfare for her relatives to attend. She was able to actually attend as well without being recognized, since it seemed to be in a parallel dimension of some sort.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: Summons the ghost of someone she's met before, complete with their ghostly wheelchair. She pulls them out of the chair, and they fall through the floor, disappearing from sight and Momma Ettu takes the now vacant ghost wheelchair.. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted. Roll a single d10, Difficulty 4. If you fail or botch, the Effect fails and you cannot activate it again for an hour.
Lasts 1 hour. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is tripled.
If your last Action was used for an all-out sprint or you are already accelerated, you may spend an Action to accelerate without a roll, adding 100 feet/Round (not affected by your speed bonus) to your sprint speed, to a max of an extra 300 feet/Round. As long as you stay at these speeds, you may use this distance per Round as your Free Movement.
Any terrain you traverse while accelerated must be passable by a standard vehicle at similar speeds. Stopping, turning sharply, or decelerating more than 100 feet/Round must be performed as an Action. Failing to decelerate with an Action (whether because of an obstacle, sudden unfavorable terrain, an Injury, or other event) counts as a tumble or catastrophic vehicle collision as per the vehicle rules.
After this Effect ends, you cannot move quicker than a walk (15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour.
Extreme injuries require serious measures - people whining about paper cuts need a Bandage or Band-Aid instead. If the bandage is removed/significantly damaged, the wound returns unhealed - no peeking!
Exert your Mind and spend 2 Actions. Select a Living target within arm's reach. You must use up a Bandage or Band Aid (depending on the wound) in order to activate this Effect. Choose a specific Injury on your target that has not yet been treated with this Effect and roll Intellect + Medicine at Difficulty 8.
If you succeed, the Injury is reduced in Severity by your Outcome, unless it had Severity 4 or higher, in which case its Severity remains the same. If you reduce its Severity to 0, the Injury is fully healed. Otherwise, it is partially healed and will heal the rest of the way at its natural rate.
This counts as a successful Makeshift Stabilization if the Injury was not already Stabilized; any Battle Scars caused by the Injury will remain. Your patient is required to Keep the Band-Aid/Bandage on it for the next month. If they violate this rule, your treatment is immediately reversed.
You may treat Severity 1 Injuries without making a roll or paying the Exertion cost, so long as they were not self-inflicted as an activation cost for an Effect.
