A thick, black tentacle that seems to live hidden within the afflicted's chest, bursting forth when summoned and slowly coiling up once it is no longer needed, sealing the grievous room behind it in thickened scar tissue, which at all times feels clammy and dead to the touch.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action.
You gain 2 additional limbs that function as standard human arms and hands. Lasts two hours.
Each additional limb you posses can take one Quick Action per Round without incurring a -2 dice penalty to your main Action. Each additional appendage you have gives you +1 dice to make and resist Grapples (up to a maximum bonus of +4 dice).
Any Battle Scars that affect or remove your additional limb will heal in a single week.
Your appendage is capable of bending and squishing in normally-impossible ways. It may fit through any gap that is not water-tight and retain its functionality.
Your extra appendage can stretch to reach an additional 30 feet.
Your extra appendage is not connected to your nervous or circulatory systems, and you will not take damage if it is hit by an attack or destroyed.
Anyone who witnesses you during this Effect's activation or for its duration will almost certainly be disturbed to see an inky tentacle that seems to burst from the afflicted's chest, appearing to puncture the skin and causing the sound of splintering bones when summoned..
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: Horribly Disfigured - Your chest is concaved due to an interdimensional voyage gone wrong! (Any damage dealt towards your soft spot will deal an additional 2 damage. If an attack could feasibly hit your soft spot, flip a coin. On a fail, it hits your soft spot).
After taking the pill, one’s pupils grow up to three times as large and their sight, smell and hearing are drastically increased
Use up this pill and spend an Action to activate. Roll a single D10 as a critical failure check. If you roll a 1, the Effect fails, and you overdose.
Your senses are enhanced in the following way. Lasts for three hours.
On activation when Maze is struck by an attack or an effect tries to target him floating text will pop up above his head stating "Immune" as the attack seemingly has no effect and bounces off harmlessly.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action or Reaction. This Effect cannot be used unless Atlas is active. You must actively and obviously use Rangers Cloak to activate this Effect.
You phase out of reality for up to 10 minutes. During this time, you cannot affect the outside world (other than non-combat Actions using your hands, at +2 Difficulty) or take any Actions. You may move as normal while phased out. You may pass through walls and "climb" up and down through solid material at normal climbing speeds. Nothing can interact with you in any way.
When you phase out, you may bring up to 2 additional target in arm's reach with you.
When you activate this Effect, you may limit its duration to a period of your choosing. If you are able, you may also end it as a Free Action on your initiative.
You leave a solid after image at your location.
Jordan now sleeps restlessly, dreaming of vivid, foreign landscapes filled with shifting boats. Who is that blurry figure in the distance sometimes standing on two legs, sometimes four, sometimes too many to count?
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. This Effect cannot be used unless you are unconscious.
You automatically detect all faye within 50 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
If no faye targets are within 50 feet of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.
Even if there are no faye within 50 feet of you, you become aware of the direction the closest one is in, as well as a rough sense of its distance from you.
All faye who you can sense are equally able to sense you.
Phantom is a gambling man. Yet, he also has a intuition for what he usually does. Using this intuition, he hones in on security guards and the likes, allowing Neo-Genis to turn this special gift of his into a power. Then, he uses a card to tell his fortune, spinning it and fiddling with it as he catches the card and glances at this fortune, telling him what to watch for, for the next 2 hours.
Exert your Mind and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: throwing the card around, flipping it through the fingers as phantom whispers "cmon baby, show me my fortune today~". You must actively and obviously use Card to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
You automatically detect all Security Personnel within 300 feet of you for the next hour. This includes any who come within range during the duration. You have a sense of how many valid targets are nearby, as well as their distance and direction.
If no Security Personnel targets are within 300 feet of you, and then one enters range, you automatically detect it, even if this Effect is not active.
A slab of a human in terms of looks, Assistant Hyde was the first successful attempt at creating artificial life with assistance from other DSP biotechnologists, but they were only a minor help (the funding on the other hand...). Big and dumb, Assistant Hyde is a glorified watchdog and lab assistant both. Sure they can't help out with surgery themselves, but they are good at holding things. And beating people. It's a shame they need to be created via invasive, harmful surgery each time.
Take a Severity-1 Injury and spend two Actions performing the following ritual: Making an incision on oneself. You must actively and obviously use Medical Tools to activate this Effect. You must maintain Concentration while activating this Effect, and it fails if you are interrupted.
Summon a single Hommuncli/Assistant at your location. They will last until they are destroyed. They are controlled by the GM but will follow any commands you give. You may have at most 1 minion active at a time.
After you finish activating this Effect, you cannot move quicker than a walk (max 15 feet per Round) for one minute and suffer a -1 dice penalty for an hour. Exhaustion’s penalty and duration stacks with multiple activations.
The Witch wiggles her fingers at her broomstick, and it leaps from the ground with a whoosh of wind. She may then hop on and fly around. It’s so fun, she often finds herself cackling uncontrollably.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a broom to activate this Effect. This Effect remains active for two hours.
As long as you are conscious, you are immune to falling Damage and may hover in place mid-air. Additionally, you may glide as you fall, traveling 35 feet horizontally for every 10 feet you fall. While gliding, you fall at a minimum speed of 10 feet per Round.
You may ascend into the air and fly using your mind. Your Free Movement is Mind x5 feet/Round, including vertically. You cannot Dash. When sprinting, roll Mind and add your rating in Mind plus 1 to the outcome, multiply by 5 to find your sprint speed. Your encumbrance limit is 10 lbs per point of Mind.
You are subject to the following effects while gliding or flying:
The Ninja is a master at blending in to any crowd or organization. If they can find complete privacy, they may channel their ninjutsu to temporarily create the illusion of any outfit or uniform they desire. The new clothes shimmer into existence over their existing garb over the course of a minute of meditation.
Exert your Mind and spend a minute.
You become disguised in a manner of your choosing. The disguise lasts for two hours, or you may end it early at will.
The new appearance must have a similar sex, age, and race to your own. You cannot significantly change your height and weight. Your disguise cannot directly mimic an existing person. You may change the appearance of your outfit. A disguise cannot affect your Attributes or other stats.
You may roll Charisma + Crafts to attempt to make your disguise Beautiful. If your Outcome is 6 or higher, non-Effect Charisma rolls where your good looks could help are rolled at -2 Difficulty. If you fail or botch, you are ugly instead, and non-Effect Charisma rolls are made at +2 Difficulty.
You cannot alter the appearance of your flesh and blood.
The time-twister spins a dial on one of her watches, slowing time for everyone but her and one other person.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must actively and obviously use a watch or clock to activate this Effect.
Lasts 1 minute. Whenever you use your Movement, after all other calculations, the distance you may travel is doubled.
Outside of Combat, any non-Gift, non-movement Actions you attempt take drastically less time to complete, as long as your personal speed is a factor in the Action. Total time reduction is determined by the GM and capped at 90% (executing the Action takes no less than 1/10th the normal time).
While using this Effect, you may carry one other being without affecting your Encumbrance, so long as you maintain contact with them for the duration and they consent or are grappled.
The Vampire may channel their inner beast and take the form of an animal. It is said they may transform into either a wolf or a bat. If used too often, the Vampire risks losing themselves to their beast forever.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. You must make a Trauma roll when you use this Effect. Its Difficulty cannot be reduced by any means. If you fail or Botch, you receive one Mind Damage and a new Trauma.
You transform into a vampire bat or a wolf until you transform into something else or choose to return to your original form. See the Extended System text for stats.
While transformed, you cannot use any equipment (including Artifacts and Consumables), and you do not have access to any of your Powers. Any equipment you are wearing transforms with you.
Injuries and Wound Level are carried over between forms. However, transforming can never kill you; you merely remain Incapacitated until your Injuries are sufficiently healed.
Possession of this Power grants the following Battle Scar: A disfigured face with bat-like ears.
The survivalist is an expert at wildlife survival in any natural environment. Even in the harshest climates, they have the capacity to find food, water, and shelter.
Exert your Mind (unless you win a coin flip) and spend 15 minutes. This Effect cannot be used unless you are in a wilderness environment.
Choose a specific type of food, water, or survival supply which could fit inside a regular backpack (up to 27 liters). It must be Non-Alien and generic. You cannot create explosives. You cannot create firearms.
Roll Perception + Survival to fabricate up to 5 copies of your chosen Object. The Difficulty is assigned by the GM and depends on the specificity of your chosen Object. Your created items no longer expire, and will last until they are destroyed.
