Gen-Wyld: Beyond Natural
On March 14, 2018, a little-known company named Gen-Wyld announced FDA approval for a groundbreaking procedure to enhance a patient’s primary and secondary sexual characteristics using gene therapy. The company was an overnight success.
Shortly thereafter, they introduced a suite of gene-altering body modification procedures that allowed patients to make dramatic aesthetic changes to their bodies by gene-splicing “non-human” anatomy. Those daring (and wealthy) enough can now add cuttlefish pigmentation to their skin, sport a pair of fox ears, and even add a functional tail. While rare, these so-called “modders” draw plenty of hate from conservative communities.
Thanks to their revolutionary procedures, Gen-Wyld is now a household name. Norman Carlson, Gen-Wyld’s chief evangelist, recently announced the company is in the trial phase for a groundbreaking treatment for diabetes.
Yet despite their success, a shroud of secrecy surrounds Gen-Wyld. Their no-patent policy obscures the secrets of their procedures from the public eye. Financial experts claim that Gen-Wyld is run less like a traditional business and more like an NGO with some specific, unknown objective.
Some claim that they will not stop until humanity has been reduced to monstrous slaves and that Gen-Wyld’s board of directors will install themselves as inhuman overlords of the new world order.
However, until the true secrets behind Gen-Wyld are discovered, the genetic biotech firm will continue to grow, develop, and progress its grand designs.

If you are watching the individual using this power, you can see that he is actively holding a magnifying glass in his hand, sometimes bringing it up to his eye, but it seems that even while holding it, it doesn't look like he is doing much with it. You can see the person looking around, even at walls, and still somehow collecting information beyond it.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action to activate. You must actively and obviously use A Magnifying Glass to activate this Effect.
You may perceive things within 50 feet of you as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next five minutes. You must maintain Concentration to keep up the effect.
Any Perception rolls made through obstacles are rolled at +1 Difficulty.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
Astral Glance
To see beyond, you must open your third eye.
The mystic enters a meditation while focusing on a remote location. A glowing sigil of an eye appears on their forehead, and a ghostly image of themselves meditating appears at the location they are envisioning. For a brief period, they may see the area they are projecting to as though they were standing there.
Exert your Mind and spend an Action. Select a target Location within 75 feet.
You may perceive things as if you were standing at that Location. The effect lasts indefinitely but you must maintain Concentration to keep it up. You cannot perceive anything at your physical location while the effect is active.
You create a visible manifestation at the Location where your senses are projected which looks like a ghostly image of yourself meditating.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
- Your target must be within line of sight, or within range of another sense if more fitting for the Gift's flavor.
Extrasensory Perception
"My 6th sense is unmatchable"
He flicks up his watch to his face and you can see him essentially stare holes through the walls.
Expend a point of Battery and spend an Action to activate.
You may perceive things through Sight within 75 feet of you as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 3 rounds. You must maintain Concentration to keep up the effect.
Any Perception rolls made through obstacles are rolled at +1 Difficulty.
- You can target yourself if you qualify as a valid target by the other requirements.
Ever-Vigilant Eyes
"There you are."
After making a brief request to his benefactor and paying off the favor with a smoke break, Frank's face begins to flush a dreary black. Every ounce of his being begins to focus on his vision, his perception of the outside world... granting him the brief ability to view it all completely unhindered.
Exert your Mind and spend one minute. You must use up a cigarette in order to activate this Effect.
You may perceive things through sight within 500 feet of you with perfect clarity as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 30 minutes.
You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.
- This does not satisfy the Line of Sight requirement for targeted Effects.
Diagnostic Insight
"There's your problem right there..."
Taking the form of glasses, goggles, even a welding mask, this artifact has a ring of tiny runes surrounding the lens or lenses. When infused with power, they glow visibly to observers, though not obstructively to the user. The user can peer through several feet of solid materials to, say, diagnose damage inside an engine, find a secret mechanism behind a bookshelf, or scan someone for hidden weapons.

You may perceive things through sight within 15 feet of you with perfect clarity as though there were no walls or obstacles blocking your view for the next 30 minutes. You must maintain Concentration to keep up the effect.
You may perceive through up to 15 feet of material. The Difficulty of all Perception rolls made through a wall are increased by 1 per wall.

The influencer is 100% tuned-in to any sort of chatter about themselves. Any time someone nearby so much as whispers about them, they know who they were and what they said.
This Effect activates whenever someone talks about you. It does not require an Action or Exertion. Select a target Location within 75 feet. Your target should be intuitively based on the triggering event.
You may perceive things through hearing as if you were standing at that Location for the next 30 minutes. You must maintain Concentration to keep up the effect. You cannot perceive anything at your physical location while the effect is active.
- When triggered, the Effect activation resolves immediately after the triggering Action. It is not Reaction speed.
- This does not satisfy the Line of Sight requirement for targeted Effects.
