Legacy Power: Sorcerer's Apprentice

Warning: do not fall asleep while casting.

A 1 Gift Animate Power created by ExampleRobot.

Description

Preston dons his wizard hat, raises his arms, wiggles his fingers, and little sparkles fly out and woosh around the object in question. It shudders to life and follows his commands, including to do things it was not designed to do.

System

Exert your Mind and spend an Action animating an Inanimate target no larger than [[maximum-object-size]] within 20 feet. The target becomes Animate for the next hour. You may maintain a maximum number of animated objects equal to your Intellect.

Animated objects are considered unskilled and should not be able to perform any Action that would require a roll, including Combat. They can be destroyed exactly as easily as they could when not-animated, meaning certain animated objects are far more durable than others.

The animated object is capable of moving and perceiving the world around it within reasonable limits. If the object did not already possess some form of locomotion, it may either move across the ground at 15 feet per round, or it can hover up to 7 feet in the air at 10 feet per round. Additionally, it is capable of moving itself around in any way it could have previously.

Enhancements

  • Flexible Animation (Animated object can attempt functions it was not created to perform. For example, an animated pair of pants may tie something up instead of merely putting themselves on or taking themselves off.)

Drawbacks

  • Focus (Using this Effect requires a specific kind of item.)
    • Object - Pointed hat with stars and moons

Parameters

Range: 1 ( 20 feet )
