The following is a transcript from an operation carried out by MTF Lambda-12 ("Pest Control"). Reports of strangled and half-consumed bodies were intercepted by Foundation personnel undercover in the [REDACTED] Police Department in Southern California. The diversity in the qualities shared by the victims aided in ruling out a possible serial killer in the area. Markings on the necks of the victims were consistent with strangulation via garrote. Once a pattern had been established by Foundation investigators, Lambda-12 were assigned to find and contain the anomaly.

L4: "Scuff marks, broken beer bottle, blood spatter and smear leading into the alley. Looks recent, too, it must be close. L2, do you copy?"
L2: "Copy, enroute with L1, standby. ETA 2 Minutes."
L3: "Copy that, 30 seconds."
L4's radio picks up the sounds of a rifle being cocked before going completely silent. GPS tracking confirms L1 and L2 to be about three blocks away, searching for signs of UA-566. L3 is confirmed about 300 feet from L4's location, approaching from the opposite opening to the alley. L4 approaches the scene of the strangling, walking slowly into the alley.
L1: "L4 stay broadcasting. That's a bad habit that'll get you killed."
No response from L4. Confirmed to have stopped movement after about ten seconds from his previous message.
L3: "L4? Do you copy?"
L2: "Got eyes on her?"
L3: "Turning in to the alley now."
L3: "Got eyes on her, she's standing next to the dumpster, dumbass must've pulled her cable again."
L3 continues into the alley towards L4.
L3: "Plug your shit back in!"
A spray of gunfire is heard over comms, drowning out all other communication
L3: "What the fuck?! I'm hit!"
L1: "Contact! What do you see?!"
L3: Muffled swearing. "It's fucking got her! Wrapped her up!"
L2: "Almost there!"
L3: "Fuck, it's on the roof!"
Gunfire on comms, close enough to be audible on all comms.
L3: "Can't see it, get over here no--"
A wet snap can be heard over L3's radio as his voice is cut off followed by breathy gargling. L1 and L2 turn into the alley to find L4 strangled, with a large chunk bitten out of her shoulder. L1 and L2 report seeing L3's body twitching and rotating from the Fire Escape having been hanged by a thick black cord.
L1 and L2 open fire on the rooftop, bullets tearing through the cable hanging from the edge, dropping L3's body onto the concrete.
L1: "Overwatch, anomoly is escaping via rooftop, requesting support!"
Overwatch: "Standby, rerouting local MTF to your location, stay on-mission and attempt persuit."
L2: "Just my fucking day..."
"UA-566's first mission seemed to go well. They reported favorable results, especially after returning relatively unharmed, besides some minor friction burns on their back and arms. They seem very motivated by the proposition of outside exposure that can potentially allow them to collect more parasites into their body. Since testing has began after containment, UA-566-1 has been the only obvious supernatural species to have manifested on their body. Entrance into the UA program is suspected to lead to more biological development in their body, potentially manifesting new creatures for study.
"UA-566 seems aware of their frightening appearance and actively avoids people as much as possible, something that is not said for many of the other monstrous UA in their cohort (see UA-565). They also seem unwilling to consider their sentience as being of a single source, activlely avoiding the "I" pronoun, and instead swapping it with "we." It is unclear if their sentience manifests from a single parasite dwelling in their body acting as a "spokesperson" of sorts, or if it is truly a manifestation of multiple parasites working in tandem.
"After their return, UA-566 appears to have developed a new property in UA-566-1, closely linked with its ability to strike out at foes. They were put into a combat test two weeks after returning from MTF Village Idiots after having been starved for three days. Once in the arena, sharp teeth similar to those in UA-566-1's mouth grew on their tendrils, allowing them to very easily rip apart the D-class test subjects and consume their flesh. Total survival time in that session was about 9 seconds total."
Combat Test 20: UA-566 vs 3 D-class.
D-67795 & D-67799 armed with combat knives. D-67773 armed with a Beretta M9.
All four test subjects were released into an urban envionment in the abandoned sector of [REDACTED] in Southwestern Russia.
The three D-class were given periodic information as to where UA-566 would be hiding within the enclosed sector, giving them the means to hunt it down. The D-class continued their search for a total of two hours and twenty-three minutes before making contact with UA-566. UA-566's climbing and stealth skills allow it to easily avoid notice until the most opportune moments. This, in addition to its advanced intelligence, allow it to easily setup ambushes (Note: Run next combat test with at least five test subjects for more of a challenge).
UA-566 used UA-566-1 to draw attention to a decoy position, luring the three D-class into a room neighboring the one that they were hiding in. Surprising D-67795, it grabbed his neck before it the other two were able to react properly. The D-class was dragged, still screaming, into the next room.
UA-566 quickly dispatched D-67795 once he was pulled into its hiding spot. The remaining D-class began to make their way towards their fallen team member, unaware of a newly manifested parasite in UA-566.
UA-566 slipped a tendril into D-67795 and injected the body with UA-566-B. UA-566 would reanimate this corpse and position it near the doorway. Even without the ability to speak, the body served as an excellent distraction, giving UA-566 a clear advantage. UA-566 commanded the body to attack D-67773, the gunman. D-67773 fired on the corpse, but not before getting a blade in the chest. This oppotunity allowed UA-566 to quickly dispatch the gunman then reanimate their corpse as well. Dealing with the final D-class was simple after this.
UA-566 was collected after the three kills were confirmed. The bodies of the D-class had been completely torn apart and consumed, presumably by UA-566-A.
