Insane.
Too much to really process...
Mark looks over at the Kevin bracelet on the table by the door. He hadn't touched it for days. Since the funeral.
He had a text to Barbara suggesting she sell her bracelet and disappear, that people like Mark and Kevin and Bu are poisonous. Run.
He hadn't sent it.
The TV was on, and Mark laughed when the studio audience did, but he wasn't really paying attention.
He was trying desperately to forget, even briefly, but he was.. processing. Reliving the past few days in snippets, criticizing his actions and words..
More than anything, inaction.
He had got caught up with breaking up a regional syndicate, and didn't even realize Bu Fang had been kidnapped until it was far, far too late, then bad news got.. worse.
He couldn't help but feel like he had let Kevin down.
It's like Mark was the only person who could really see the constant dangers, and everyone else just waited for things to happen.
Maybe it was time for him to.. Lead?
With all these egos it might end up a hostile takeover.
He wasn't sure whether Anna leaving was really the right thing, but he would respect her wishes.
