I was able to arrange to be picked up by the Vatican after completing the job. I didn't like the actions I had to take to survive and now I need to atone for my transgressions. I will lock myself in solitary confinement and self flagellate daily until I feel that I am cleansed. I do not take to these things lightly as I am no masochist but in the ways that I have been taught this is the first step in seeking absolution. I am using the time to continue reading the ancient texts and seeing if there is a way to increase my physical strength or speed. On the island I was hampered several times by my own bodies lack of ability and I fear the conditioning and strengthening myself in the normal methods are proving too inefficient. I think I have found something in the story of Sampson whose prolific strength was tied to a physical weakness. I am working with some scholars to see if there is a way we can replicate this or find some artifact of his through the vaults that might be empowered to assist me in my quest. The lord seems reluctant to offer the same blessings twice but perhaps if some trace of the original is still there I can breath new life into it. 

I also think that I need a better way of finding and tracking monsters as they tend to be elusive and operate mainly in the shadows. 

The odd lawyer man with the whip brought me to some kind of large library built over some abandoned train tracks. There are all manner of odd creature in here stuffed and mounted as well as books on almost every topic imaginable. I have done a good bit of reading on various monsters both new and old. The inhabitants of this place seem odd and eclectic to me but not generally harmful so far. Since being here I have seen a talking dog, various of what I believe to be ghosts, an odd coyote and a number of other occurrences. I'm realizing my definition on what is and is not a monster might be at the same time both too broad and too narrow. I intend to offer my services to the patron of this library in return for shelter here at least temporarily. These jobs seem to have me operating in America predominantly so I might seek to establish a longer form of residence here. I will need to inform my supervisors in the Vatican.
