The Timekeeper's Timepiece, The Days

After what happened over there, I decided to fix up my wounds and rest up. I decided to take a trip over to Galway to clear my head, and found a rather peculiar watch store while there. The store was called 'The Timekeeper's Timepieces', and had a rather large selection of watch brands than I would expect from a small store like this. The owner's name was Chronos, most likely fake name for when working, and looked like an older man in a very well-fitting suit.

One watch stuck out more to me than the others, an Onyx Jaquet-Droz Astrale Grande Heure. When I asked the price of the watch from him, I was surprised it was only €1,200, as these usually sell for around €7,000. Just before I bought it, he said that the price might not be one I expect to pay. Knowing that tax is included here, I checked the till again and it still read €1,200. I paid him the money for it, and he asked if I wanted to try it on to confirm sizing. I figured it would be better to do it now, that way I could resize it it need be.

When I tried it on, something immediately felt off. I felt like a part of me was gone, replaced with something foreign. Chronos then asked if I now understood the price he mentioned, and I questioned him about it. He told me that while I may not be able to get that part back, I could always try another watch if I wanted to make another trade. I declined for now, and headed home. When I took the watch off, I found I couldn't lock my main door, like I usually do. When I put it back on, I could. It seems that part of me that left was the power I had gained, with an unknown one in me now.

My Trip to Canada

So I decided to take a 2 week trip to Canada's capital, to clean up some remainders from the last 'call' as well as to relax. I wasn't really able to relax, until I got to the capital, due to travel. I now know that Canada is huge, because I took the cheaper flight to Sault Ste. Marie thinking it would only be about an hour's drive away. I was a fool.

I will always have to remember to get the measurements when looking at a distance on a map, because it took me nearly 9 hours of driving to get to Ottawa from Sault Ste. Marie. I could have gone over to my father's and gotten home twice using the train in the amount of time it took to drive between these two cities. If I have to ever go to Canada again, or the United States for that matter, you can bet it will be to the exact city.
