I've been so much more social!

I can talk to animals now, and so I've been making a lot more friends! I really like having animals to talk to. They know so many things about the forest, and where to hide, and where to find food.

They are kinda dumb though. Maybe a different magic I get at some point will let me fix that. That would be nice.

I've been talking with them more, and reading more, and thinking about what I am going to do with my new powers. I think most things that could change the world I'll need to be able to do more things for. 

I can talk to animals, and make friends, but I can't really do much else yet. I'd like to be able to make them stronger and smarter and things.

Also, If I could make them listen to me, that would be nice. They listen to me sometimes, but sometimes they are being dumb, and I can't make them listen to me.

Hello again Journal!

So. Since last time, I've been trying to take my responsibility as a druid seriously and learn some things. Like about Zoo's, and about animal experimentation.

So I went to the library, to see if there would be maps for where zoos are, or books that would tell me! That way I could ask the animals there about the zoos!

But the library is really big, and there are a lot of things in it. So. I didn't know what to do, or how to use it. So I just took some comics and adventure books

So the next day I found people!

Their names are Tilly and Jeniffer! I really like them! They showed me how to use the computer, and about how the internet works and things, and how to make maps.

They gave me a hug. It was really nice. They have a cat named Mittens! I helped Mittens like their bed more.

Their house has so much food!

Hello again journal!

I've been spending time with trees and animals recently. I feel like something has changed with my connection to nature. Deepening and expanding.

I can speak to the animals, the wind runs with me, and now the trees protect me. 

I've been thinking about what being a druid means for me, and what responsibilities it gives me. I need to learn a lot and learn from the animals of the world. The plants too.

So, I think that means that I need to start learning. Maybe wandering around, learning more about the outside world.

I think I'll start with going to Zoos. I'll ask the animals there. Then I'll see If I can find any animals on the way.


After that I'll look up more animals on the internet, and what's going on with the environment. Then I'll go and talk to them.


Hopefully from that I can figure out what it would be important to do, and what I should be aiming for.

I know that the natural world needs protecting. I just need to figure out what that means.

Liz flies back as an eagle towards Yellowstone. This probably takes at least a day, since she goes maybe 70 mph. She’ll arrive in the evening so she’s less conspicuous, and try and find Jennifer and Tilly at their house. She looks a little guilty.

“Ummm . Jennifer, Tilly. Something happened… you know how you were telling me about camera? There were some people that had them when I became a bird.”

Jennifer will respond first: "Oh, that's not good! You need to try to avoid that. Are you okay? Did they say anything?"

"Uhhhh. Nooo, they didn't say anything. I was in Seattle doing druid things. And there was this robot, and ... " Liz takes a breath. "I flew away when I saw people videoing me."

"Well, that's a good idea at least. You didn't answer if you were okay, though."

Liz starts to tear up. "I.... I don't think so."

"Would you like to talk about it? Or do you need some time?"

Liz opens her arms for a hug
Jennifer will go in for a hard squeeze hug, and Tilly will leave her phone alone to join it. Neither of them says anything, leaving space for Liz to talk if she wants.

Scene start will be Lizzie getting to Jennifer and Tilly's home, and waiting for a chance to use her computer.  She has been spending more nights there recently, starting to feel safe. This is a place with people that care for her. She is obviously happy while waiting for a chance to use the computer. Then she is going to email Carpathia.

"Hi!!!! 

So. I learned my full name recently because of a magic name tag thing. It's Elizabeth Martin. It's a weird name, but it's mine! Well not that weird, but I'm just not used to it.

You can still call me Liz of Lizzie though, I still like that. But I want to see If i can find any grandparents! or like. Uncles or things.

My Dad never showed me any of them, and he said mom left us and was .... He said some bad words that I don't know what they mean.

Anyway, can you help me look? I don't know many computer things, and Jennifer and Tilly are nice, but I haven't told them all the things with the jobs and stuff, so I don't wanna have to explain how I know my full name and stuff.

Congratulations! I'd be happy to help you, but I'd need to tell Jennifer and Tilly about what I'm helping you with. If you want I can help you talk with them about this? We wouldn't need to share everything, I get not wanting to open up completly, but they care about you! They just want to help, and I'd hate to go behind their back when they trusted me to help you.

Liz checks the computer again a few hours later.

She looks at it.

She closes the computer. She holds her hands togehter. Rubbing one over the other as she thinks. She bits her lip a little bit. She bits a bit too hard, and her teeth ping of bits of spectral tree bark.
She opens the computer again.

Opens up her email, and drafts a reply.

"Okay."

She sends it.
She goes to find Jennifer and Tilly

Another response, within about ten minutes.

"Great! I'll head over as soon as I can. Thank you for reaching out for help, Liz :)"

UNI

They're both on the couch watching TV, and look up at you smiling as you come find them. Mittens is also watching, but sitting nearby on the floor instead of with them on the couch.

RNG

“Ummm….”

Liz looks at them. Obviously nervous . Liz goes and sits with mittens, giving mittens Scritches in the places he has said he likes best.

“I uh. I remembered something.” (Liz is pretty obviously hiding something)

Liz takes a deep breath.

“IrememberedmylastnameisMartinandIkindawanttoseeifIhaveanyotherfamilyorwhatmydadusedtobeandIcalledCarpathiatohelpmelook.”

(I remembered my last name is Martin and I kinda want to see if I have any other family or what my dad used to be and I called Carpathia to help me look.)

Liz gasps in air at the end of this little speech. Then looks up at Jennifer and Tilly nervously.

“I. Ummm. We don’t need to talk about if you don’t want to. But. Carpathia said to share and since you are like my… ummm. I thought you should know maybe?”
Liz looks nervous. She really doesn’t want them to be upset at her. She doesn’t know why they would be at an intellectual level, but her feeling tell her that this is fragile… and there is something about these two and telling them she is looking for other family. 

UNI

Jennifer looks like she's tearing up, and Tilly looks at her when she doesn't respond first like she usually does and swoops in to say:
"Thank you for telling us! We really appreciate it. That sounds like a really big step! Do you want help from us, or will this be a you and Carpathia adventure?"

RNG

Liz starts to tear up a little bit seeing Jennifer tear up.

“Uhhhh. It’s . It is really new so.  I don’t know. Maybe you can sit with me when I use the online? But.”
Liz looks down and wipes her face.
“I don’t want to right now I just… Can we cuddle and watch the tellvision? Can do tomorrow?”

UNI

Tilly scoots over so theres space between them and pats it, saying:
"Sure thing, dear! We can sit with you when you go online if you like, or we can give you some space too. No matter what we'll be here."

RNG

Liz starts to say something but is choked up. Instead she nods and hurry’s to the couch, a bit of wind following her. 

She takes both of their arms and puts them around her, then leans into Jennifer while holding her arm.
Liz doesn’t want to talk much, but will eventually fall asleep. Late night with the last contract. She feels safe, and dreams of meeting her family. Of finding her mom. In her dreams her mom has Jennifer’s face.
