Man, you’d think after stopping a vengeful ghost from turning a college campus into a horror movie set, I’d get a break or at least a decent night’s sleep. Nope. Life keeps rollin’, and so does high school drama.
Back in New Orleans, everything’s right where I left it—except me. My senses are sharper now. Every sound’s louder, every smell’s clearer, and let me tell you, you don’t wanna be this aware of the cafeteria meatloaf smell.
I’m tryin’ to act normal, keep my head down, but algebra feels pointless after facing down a literal dead girl with a vendetta. Homework’s got nothin’ on surviving a murder ghost. Still, gotta hustle, though—working shifts at the gas station for a few extra bucks since I definitely spent that contract cash on silver chains and survival gear.
Oh, and Jazz? He keeps checkin’ in, makin’ sure I don’t lose it. I haven’t told him about the Adderall situation yet… priorities, right?
In between all that? Just me, headphones on, tryin’ to drown out the world with old-school bounce music and keepin’ the monster inside from getting too comfortable.
Normal life’s still waiting, but for how long?
