Golden Light

The traveler never came around after the contract. She said she would grant me powers, true power. I was stupid to believe her.

Ever since returning all that's changed in my daily life are the presence of faint golden threads extending from various people. Even then, they are barely visible. All my attempts to touch them have turned out fruitless. How am I supposed to get back at those bastards in the government with real power, when all I received turned out to be mild visual interference? This is annoying. Maybe it's like this for everyone? I hope the Traveler comes back to explain what this is, otherwise I think I'm stuck with this dud.

Whatever, after the adventures in Brekshire I am confident that I am not ready for what this world has in store for me. I'll need to start training myself and get stronger.

Mild Inconveniences

It has been about a week since... changing. The first couple days were the worst, accidentally bumping into walls, falling when going down the stairs, don't get me started on trying to augment clothes for my customers. It's better now, manipulating this body actively from a conscious perspective, if a bit odd. I can feel everything that makes me unique, and can see the threads of my power more clearly than ever before. Finding clothes that cover up my body while still being stylish is hard, luckily augmenting clothes is my profession.

Surprisingly, I received a call from Johnny asking me to head over and grab some donuts, talk about things. With how I am now, they'd probably be surprised to see me. Luckily I've retained my human appearance, otherwise taking flights would be a nightmare. I went across the pond to the states and we sat down, having a conversation about life, contracts, and these gifts. I'm not sure if he noticed anything besides my gold stained eyes, but I couldn't bring myself to let him know. At least I can still eat with this body.

When I finally made my way back home, I had noticed my arm hasn't started healing as it normally would've. Another 'perk' of this body I guess. Would I have healed his arm if I knew this would happen? Probably. Mensk saved me, so I needed to repay the favour. I need to find a way to fix this up, otherwise the next job I go on may be my last.
