The Spectacular Spud

A show of sorcery!

What a lovely first experience I must say, except for the part where they poured hot oil upon my fingers, I'll have to wear gloves for a month or so! I do hope the emperor does not ask me as to why I am wearing my gloves.

I met some unfamiliar faces in this unfamiliar place, I believe one was called 'Louis E' and another 'Edward'! What strange names, though I suppose they somewhat suit them well. I do feel rather bad for the latter, he seemed uncomfortable the whole way through-from the mannequins to the apparent deceased- I cannot blame him for such.

I witnessed a great many strange occurrences, far too many to list so I will attempt to keep it brief!

-Mannequins coming to life.

-A floating 'disco ball'.

-A 'car'.

-A dead apparent sorcerer! Of great power I'd imagine!

If it weren't for the great, vast distance between our foreign nations, I would visit this Edward and allow my servants to bring him some tea and red bean cakes, to calm those nerves of his. It is quite interesting the small similarities between the languages we both speak, I am enamoured by this new and interesting world I have been opened to! I will almost certainly study the languages I have witnessed to my best ability, no doubt until I am fluent enough to speak to them both once more-in their mother tongue.

Ah! I hear my servants a-knocking! This strange, cryptic service by the name of 'Just eat' must be here once more to bring me the fabled 'Garlicked bread', the boy who brings them is oh so kind, so I must cut this story short.

You can stop writing for me now Xuefeng.

Cool Off!

The forest

I am not quite sure how to start this tale, whilst my hands have so far healed quite well, only a few blemishes of being harmed by hot wax remain. That adventure was quite easy to speak of!
However, this time it was less futuristic and foreign and more regularly strange, I am no stranger to magics and the great occult and so I believe that is exactly what we witnessed once more.

Without proper knowledge of the beautiful languages of our empire (oh do I pity them), the others could not quite understand me completely, except of course their Doctor, Doctor Edward Graves (and my temporary translator when I am oh so tired of reading my every word from pages of a book).

The forest we found ourselves in was quite vast, and at first I could not imagine what we'd find inside.
If I had known we were travelling to a forest, I would've worn my green-toned silk robes and carved leaf jades instead of the dark blue I decided on! What a horrible decision, so embarrassing!

Halfway through our little trip, we came across these little green creatures, some half my size, some able to fit within my pockets! One such little green creature seemed to understand me well enough to respond, what a shame I wasn't able to understand the response.

They gave us a stew and we continued on our way with the newfound knowledge of a spirit of some kind hiding within the forest, setting fire to the trees around us. A spirit of which later seemed to...flirt with Louie, I believe he is called, one of the men I were with.

And I cannot even begin to speak about Charles! Oh what a fool! Trying to scare ME with his horrible form of a dog. Blegh!

I don't think I even have the energy to speak of the defeating of the spirit, but, we did it and the messanger of the Gods, Midas, allowed us an easier way of moving it from the river.
