Something Jayce said had been sticking to me. I realized that when the dead in an area speak to me, I could... maybe speak back. Turns out, I can converse with them, if I focus on a specific one, and have it set up correctly. It's a pretty gruesome sight, though, which others can see as well. It's like instead of my other ability which allows just me to see the truth of the situation, this shows everyone around me a lie about the situation. Whoever I'm speaking to, as they were right before whatever killed them. And then they slowly get killed again while talking. It's... It's harrowing, to say the least. I need to be careful who I do it around.

The good news is, a lot of the time I can help them move forward. Take a note for their living loved ones, that kind of thing. Sometimes it's a little harder, however.

After that last job, Cinder obviously came down to meet us. We got together for drinks, which I don't usually do, but I saw some things out there and it seemed smart to try to make friends in this job. If Cinder will come down at our call, maybe these others would do similar in the future? It never hurts to have someone in your corner. Even more in this job than in my day job. Speaking of which, I'll need to start preparations for potential problems soon. Lynk keeps an eye out for anyone coming after me usually, but I'm worried they won't be able to catch the kind of people that might start coming after me now. Which means, unfortunately, that I will have to start catching them - likely only once they've gotten to me. Not ideal, but it's not like I've never been on someone else's list before...
