With the completion of the task, something changed, the tome of grim gained a new page. With proper study of its contents and a good amount of experimenting, I could invoke the book's power through a new spell that allowed my illusions to attack and these attacks were not just ink and illusions but real fire breath from a dragon's maw. Claws and teeth that can draw blood. Before this, my creations were well harmless. at least directly, but with this power, I can shape my beasts' stories into bloodbaths. The beasts themselves are still fragile, but their impact on others is terrifying. Past that, my studies have been mostly fruitless. The old hidden study I found the book of Grim in seems to hold nothing of magic value beyond it. The other books were interesting, as far as I know, not new stories unknown to the world at large, but retellings of traditional ones, though they are by far more graphic and brutal. The pages hold no Heroes, to say the least
