House Rules

1. If you are an Orc or Dwarf or other magical creature you need to take assets and liabilities appropriate for that race (i.e. no ugly Elf)

2. No wealth assets. You're poor. Earn money by completing quests (Contracts)

3. All new characters will be given conditions if they play as an Elf, or Orc or other magical condition on character creation. Other GM’s in other worlds can change or nulify those conditions.

4.The GM has final approval on all new characters.

In the year 2000 the world celebrated the new millennial. Many were worried about the Y2K Bug. Others had no idea. Some really didn’t give a crap. But who did care was Jean. She was about to have a new baby. Both parents were excited. Once the child was born the parent noticed something. It had big ears. As all new parents that worried and they thought going to the doctor would be a good idea. It really wasn't. The child was taken away never to be seen again. 

At first these types of children were born and the government found ways to hide them or create misleading information. In a few years, the government couldn't handle the load and had to release a statement that these Awakened individuals were here to stay. As these children started to come of age many of them started to show fantastical abilities. 

As magic was starting to return, so were the same old problems of wizards and warlocks having epic battles and beasts which were starting to be made or created. And well the dragons… 

Megacorps

Technology has grown and changed quickly. With the rise of megacorps they have started to take a foothold in several cities. Some governments are starting to bend to their will and they are buying private armies.

Artifacts

 They are rumored artifacts that can give you the ability to do fantastic things but for a price of your soul or something far worse.

Places of Magic

There are places that are around the world and growing that are filled with magic and wonder where mythical creatures roam and fireballs are easily cast. Most people can tell when they are near magical places. Also, it is rumored those that have studied the ability Awareness could point on a map where the places are located.

The Net

Behind the shadows a new online world has started to come about. People can jack in and explore an entire new scene or build something that is starting to become bigger and better than the metaverse. 

Races 

Below are suggestions for your starting character. 

Orcs: dark vision, gifted augmentation strength, lizard brain, trained reflexes, and weak willed. 

Elves: nimble fingers, beautiful, glass jaw, fragile, and fairy rules

Dwarf; Ugly, Mythic Strength, Short, Anti-social
