The Collapse

For many, it was an cataclysmic malfunction that nearly wiped out all of Eden.

You lost many good friends that day.

◈ All contact with the first wave is lost shortly after.

A second wave of agents are dispatched to several site plants to investigate.

House Rules

Contractors from Eden-227 Are portable, and may play in Contracts in other Playgroups.
Eden-227 grants 6 Experience points to GMs who achieve the Golden Ratio.

    • Every Agent must have Systemic Infection as a Loose End
    • Modified Parry & Shove System
    • Questionnaire And Journal Word Counts Are Bullshit!
      (in any situation where you're forced to meet a word count for exp, you are free to ipsum dolor it)

Full Setting Description

We came close to it, a second Eden.
A chance to start anew, without the sins of the past to weigh it down.
We couldn't admonish our faults.

  • How commonplace is the supernatural in this setting?
    • technology nearly indistinguishable from magic (everyday occurrence)
    • mysterious cults with some pretty horrifying implications about souls and the afterlife (fairly influential, but rare)
    • eldritch creatures and vague warnings that humans are by no means special in the vastness of space (unheard of with good reason)
  • Are the Contracts (Contractors, Harbingers) known? By who?
    • harbingers as they're written in canon don't exist in this setting, gifts can be attained during downtime through training, or modification, or as rewards
    • contractors are considered Agents here, they're a diverse group usually comprised of freelancers, government agents, and researchers working under the common goal of protecting humanity from itself
    • those in the military know what an Agent is, as becoming one is considered by many a guarantee to a comfortable life should one live to see retirement
