Lena Morales's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Lena lives where she grew up: New York City. The thrumming heart of the city is where Lena feels most at home. There's a power and a comfort in anonymity. Surrounded by millions of colorful, interesting people, Lena is no one - and that suits her just fine. Being a face in the crowd means no one looks at you twice, which is perfect if you want to get up to less-than-legal activities.

In addition to its vast size and population, the proximity to many of the world's most powerful business and financial organization lets Lena keep her eyes on the prize. Growing up seeing her mother crushed by ever-looming debt - and seeing how the world is structured to keep ordinary people drowning - made Lena swear that some day, somehow, she would bring those institutions to their knees.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

Lena is cutting her teeth on cybercrime and building up to her dream of goal of one day being able to erase all debt and throw financial institutions into a (hopefully beneficial for everyone else) chaos. Right now, she's coasting by adding her alias to the payroll of a few employers with huge numbers of employees (e.g. Walmart, Kroger, Amazon) and living off the proceeds.

She's training every day to get better at her chosen field, build information networks, understand systems vulnerabilities, and sharpen up on her finance skills so she knows what to target. Other than living expenses, she mostly spends her money on new technology and college courses.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Lena is an anarchist. She wants to do her part, in her little corner of the world, by taking every step she can to destabilize financial institutions and eliminate debt. Ultimately, she wants a better world than the one we've built. She's under no illusions she can do this alone, but its where she believes her skills will have the most efficacy.

Lena is pursuing her dream with a steady but intense fervor. She has a hard time making friends and doesn't want to put anyone else at risk, so she pursues it alone. If pressed she would sacrifice almost everything - her freedom, her comfort, her time, her relationships - to see her dream come to fruition.

Lena has a complicated relationship with the idea of killing people in service of her ideals. On the one hand, she can't stand cops & billionaires, and thinks the world would probably be a better place without them. On the other hand, she generally believes the best way to go about that is to divest those people of their power, not their lives. If the chips were down, and someone was standing in her way, she might very well pull the trigger.
