Lucien (Lucy) Fire's Questionnaire

1. What town or city do you live in? Why do you live there instead of anywhere else? Describe your home.

Lucien lives in a secluded log cabin, deep in an undisclosed forest in the German wilderness.

He chooses to live so far from society for many reasons determined by the occult.

The forest is the perfect place to commune with the spirits and Fae of the wild. It can act as a stable, secluded, and peaceful environment to study and practice occult topics.

The cabin has a roofed front patio where Lucy's favorite rocking chair can be found. Entering the cabin is the main room with a dining table, usually covered in various books and papers, with a small kitchenette in the corner. On the other side is the door to his room. No one but Lucien knows what that room looks like.

2. How do you get your money right now? What do you spend it on?

As one of the founders and leaders of Hello-Fresh, Lucien currently receives a monthly stipend of around $40,000 (or equivalent currency) per contract and downtime. Most of this money has gone unspent so far, so it is likely to be saved somewhere safe for an emergency.

Additionally, a clever wizard always keeps a few pieces of gold on them, as it is always accepted, just incase.

Living expenses in the forest are minimal; Food and water are the only things that have to be stocked from the nearest village, and rent is practically non-existent for Lucien's little cabin. Electricity is sourced from solar panels, providing Lucien with rather cheap and comfortable living conditions.

3. Describe your Ambition. What are you striving for? How far would you go to achieve this? Would you kill for it? How close to death would you come for it?

Lucien's ambition is to live entirely independently from the influences of deities and others. He plans to enjoy his free will to the fullest in a sanctuary of his own creation, be it somewhere safe in New Edenia or in a different realm of his own creation. A personal paradise for himself and those dearest to him.

He knows this will be no easy task, especially under the watchful gaze of the deities and spirits. Yet he remains persistent on gaining enough power and recognition from beyond to make these dreams a reality, and he is willing to topple any being that dares stand in his way. For it is his belief that he has been gifted his powers to achieve this very goal. May those supporting him ensure that he finishes the job.

4. What was the most defining event of your life (before signing The Contract), and how did it change you?

The vision

It was one fateful night that Lucien found himself wandering the hills of a distant realm, but this was not just another dream, this land felt very real indeed.

It was here that Lucien came across a being; an elf by the name of Raydir Dorgonson. However, an ordinary elf he was not. This was in fact Lord Raydir Dorgonson, an elf imbued with great powers from the celestial dragons in order to end the 1000 year war between the races known only as angels and demons.

Here Raydir showed Lucien what he had achieved in his life, inspiring Lucien to follow in his footsteps to shape a better world.

Ever since then, this has been Lucien's greatest aspiration.

5. Name and briefly describe three people in your life. One must be the person you are closest to.

Brie Lambert; a French IKEA worker and contractor. She can cook a spicy meat-a-ball! Lucien met them on on their first contract: Train spotting and has currently completed one other contract with them.

Hector Salaman; a Spanish millionaire playboy and contractor. Hector has insane rizz which has yet to fail him. Lucien met them on their first contract and has currently completed one other contract with them.

Madame Rail Me; a wealthy madam who lives in the Swiss Alps, and owns brothels around the globe. After meeting on a train during Lucien's first contract, she took quite a liking to Lucien and has proven to be a valuable connection, although it often comes at a "price". Quite passionate and energetic for a lady of her age and stature according to Lucy.

Otherwise, Lucien does not have any others who he is close to besides Brie and Hector, although some tensions have arisen since their last contract together where Lucien almost lost his life due to a freak accident and was abandoned by his friends. He prefers to spend his time isolated in his cabin in the forest with his books and the spirits and creatures of the forest.

6. How was your childhood? Who were your parents? What were they like? Did you attend school? If so, did you fit in? If not, why not?

Lucien had a fairly regular childhood, born in Belgium to Mr and Mrs Firre. (tracing their surname from a long forgotten "master of fire"; what profession this is actually related to remains unknown due to the large application of fire in many fields; from smiths to war-time nicknames)

He lived comfortably with his parents in Belgium, who provided him with all the love, support and care they could for their only child. Lucien did well in school, where his favorite subjects were math and sciences. After graduating highschool, he studied science at university, and it was around this time when he became infatuated with the occult and all things unexplained and still unknown, trying to ground as much of his knowledge in science to varying levels of success.

He spent most of his days daydreaming about magic, witchcraft, and playing videogames. Although he remembers history a little differently than what the history books claim. As regular as can be for a child as extravagant as Lucien.

7. Have you ever been in love? With who? What happened? If not, why not?

Ah young love. Lucien once met a girl in highschool, and he was certain she was the one for him. But fate had other plans in mind, and poor Lucy was dumped harder than a Taco Bell toilet.

Lucien is definitely starting to take a liking in Madame Rail-mi, but it is still far from love or anything of the sort. He appreciates her character and "charm" through her years of experience and interesting humor. Their age gap is one of the major factors keeping Lucien in check, together with the fact that she definitely let herself go compared to the absolute babe she was back in her prime.

8. What are your worst fears? Why?

Lucien currently has;

  • A Phobia of Zombies:
Anything that should be dead, but still walks this earth? No thank you! The overpowering stench of decaying flesh takes a heavy toll on Lucien's stomach. The sight and even thought of the varying levels of decay sends shivers up his spine. Out of all the unimaginable horrors of the universe and occult, this is by far his least favorite.

  • Phobia of Christ:
For someone who deals with, and studies, all kinds of entities from many different religions, the idea of Christianity is especially displeasing to Lucien. He absolutely hates how much this religion is referenced in daily life. Only a single god? You're kidding right?

He fears for his life in almost every contract, especially when things get tough.

After being saved by the god of earthly fire during his second contract, Lucien then challenged them after refusing to sell away their soul or the souls of any of their friends. He barely survived this encounter. But the fact that he survived to begin with is an impressive feat enough in his opinion. From now on Lucien will definitely choose his words more carefully around such beings, and will remain vigilant at all times.

9. What is (are) your most prized possession(s)? What makes it (them) so special?

The ring of Eldrich Protection

An intricate silver and emerald ring. The singular emerald resembles the shape of a shield, and is held in place by a silver band in the design of eldrich tentacles wrapping around the emerald. When inspected closely, small stars and galaxies can be distinguished in the material of the emerald, creating mesmerizing sparkles and a very dim glow.

It holds a place very dear in Lucien's heart. And is a family heirloom, passed down through Lucien's family for many generations. Its powers, however, remained unknown, or perhaps forgotten, to the family until the ring came into Lucien's possession. Upon uttering the correct Eldrich phrase, the ring produces an archaic barrier 15 feet around the wearer, which will reflect the damage absorbed by it. However, the nature of the uttered words is so disturbing to others, that it causes an unnatural sense of fear and dread to overcome those that hear the words.
