Josephine lives in a loft overlooking a canal in ???. The city had resisted gentrification for decades, probably because it was overloaded with party schools and had lost it's manufacturing base. Josephine felt at home surrounded by gloomy mid 1900s stone and brick architecture. The city had become home to a thriving book trade, both mundane and supernatural which she scoured on such a regular basis that she was recognized at all the book shops within 100 miles.
Cheap housing prices ( the true fantasy here ;) ) gave her plenty of room to store and pour over the books and documents she had acquired by various legal and not so legal means. The walls are decorated with maps and art she has found while frequenting estate sales, looking for the truth.
Scouring book stores and estate sales looking for books, and finding mundane books and art to sell to collectors.
